Kabanata I

Cindy Jane's POV

MEET THEM AT STARBUCKS 

"Let's meet." Those two words are the only message he sent before I quickly jump off the chair. 

"Nag text siya!!" I shouted on the top of my lungs making Alyssa look at me my best friend who is busy solving a math problem na nakalimutan niyang gawin as a homework.

"Cindy umayos ka wag mo akong istorbohin, math ito, parang awa mo na." Alyssa said with a sigh as she continues solving.

Tinignan ko ang sinosolve niya "Gurl, ganito kasi 'yan..." then I took the liberty to solve the question. 

She stare at my answer then look at me and I only smiled, yet she move her face close to mine making me blush by her sudden action. 

"Wha-what?" I manage to ask her and she gave me a pout with a little frown which I find cute.

"Paano ako matututo!?" she giggle a little then start solving the question again for her to understand.

*Bing* 

I looks at my phone's notification and its him again with the address at the place we will meet. I quickly pack my things while Alyssa looking at me.

"Saan punta mo?" Tanong niya and I smile and reply with, "Lunch with a friend. Sama ka?" 

She only shakes her head and continues solving, I get up and starts heading out for the door then I passed at Larisse and Harrah with their lunches.

"Saan ka pupunta?" Larisse asked.

"Lunch lang!" I answered while continue walking and getting on my car. Starts opening my baby Junjun and drive off the campus, while listening to Alex's music I find myself imagining the old days. 

Alex and I we're childhood friends, I remember him getting off at our family van and my father explaining that he'll be one of the students at the music school.

I remember him being all by himself so I didn't bother him and played with my other friend at music school, months pass by hindi kami ganun ka-close but then one day.

I saw him in one of the classroom and he's playing piano by himself. I approach him first and by then we're inseparable, for the past years nalaman ko na he doesn't have a family anymore since his parents died at a car accident and the only one survive is him and his sister but they don't have a good relationship.

Since unfortunate things happened at Alex bless pa rin sya him and his sister got all of the family inheritance, gawa ng ang guardian niya ay head of the maid nila noong buhay pa parents niya and she's the most nicest person and has been very loyal to their family.

Kaya dahil dito ng nagka-anak si Nanay Maria sagot na daw ni Alex pang collage ni baby pero malayo pa yun, but he made a promise and I know Alex can keep it.

Those things are in the past but now, we don't usually have the time to meet each other so when we do, I drop everything na gagawin just to meet him. Malapit na ako sa address and I realize it was only a cafe, Starbucks to be exact.

I look myself at the mirror and fix myself a little before getting off the car and went inside the cafe and look for him, lo and behold nasa may pinaka sulok siya ng cafe near the glass window sitting comfortably with his coffee on his lips while looking at my direction. 

His eyes are so cold.

I rolled my eyes at him then I smile and wave at him before getting in line to order my coffee. I sit down in front of him.
