CHAPTER 3

THE WALLET

Jimin made his way towards the empty seat beside Dahyun. Dahyun's heart was pounding fast in her chest because of him, and she hates that she's feeling this way towards him. Well, does she really?

The class has finally started and Dahyun was just there unable to focus, eyes shaking, palms sweating, heart pounding, and frozen in her seat. As much as Dahyun wants to act natural in front of him, she couldn't. After all, how could she keep her posture when she can feel Jimin glance at her from time to time.

Finally, the 2 hours that seemed like 2 days for Dahyun has ended. Dahyun stood up from her seat, she can feel Jimin coming close to her, but stopped when Chaeyoung approached and called out for her.

"Dahyunie!" Dahyun couldn't tell whether she should thanked Chaeyoung for saving her heart or get annoyed because she just prevented him from approaching her.

"Come on Dahyun, let's go." Chaeyoung said.

"Wait, I'll just go get my wallet." She said as she looks for it in her bag only to realize that it wasn't in it.

"What's wrong?" Chaeyoung asked.

Turning at her friend, she answers her question. "I think I left it in our dorm." Dahyun said.

Chaeyoung looked at her with one brow aligned upward. "You think?"

"Well, I'm not really sure." She said.

Chaeyoung let out an exasperated sigh for her friend's clumsiness. I mean you can't blame her, since this isn't the first time that it happened.

"Don't worry, I'll just go get it. After all, the dorm is in the school, so you should go to the cafeteria first and save us a seat." Dahyun said.

"Just be sure to make it quick okay? I'll be heading now." Chaeyoung said.

As soon as Chaeyoung left the classroom, Dahyun dashed out of the room and headed downstairs to go get her wallet from their dorm but was blocked by the transferee.

"Oh, hey." The transferee greeted her, making her heart thump so fast and so loud to the point that it might explode.

'Just be cool Dahyun, it's just a boy.'

"Um hey." Dahyun said, trying to not sound nervous.

"You're my seatmate right? Do you mind if I ask you where the cafeteria is? I still don't know the corners of this school yet." He said.

"Uh, yeah just go straight and turn left and then you'll see it." Dahyun directed.

Jimin let out a nervous small laugh. "Uh, can you show the way to me?" Jimin asked.

'But I still need to find my wallet!'

Dahyun can't help but unable to resist Jimin. Following her traitor heart, she showed him the way to the cafeteria.

"Thanks for bringing me here." Jimin said smiling at her.

"Yeah, no problem." Dahyun said after she brought him to the crowded cafeteria of their school.

"Say, can you tour me later this lunch?" Jimin asked.

Dahyun gulped. "Eh? I'd love to--- I mean sure, why not? But I don't think I can tour you here by lunch hours, I mean this school is too big and---"

"I don't mind touring at least half of it. After all, you seem to know a lot about this school. I think it'll be nice to have a cute tour guide." He said. "Oh and uh, by the way, I think you drop this." He handed her the wallet that she thought she had lost. "So I guess I'll see you later." He waved goodbye at her, leaving Dahyun blushing mad red.

'Did he just called me... Cute?'
