"Are you alright?" Rio asked.
"I am just tired," Huxley omitted the truth.
"Alright, getting use to the beds?" Rio eyed Huxley.
"Yes," Huxley nodded.
Huxley's eyes were blood shot and he had dark bags under his eyes. He briefly wondered where his friend Cassidy was but shrugged, he knew, she was with Spenser. Huxley played with his food and declined to eat it. It look worse then dinner. It was brown and slushy and had dark green chunks in it.
"No one eats breakfast, we normally go to out to a dinner or pizza or burger joint," Rio shrugged.
"What?" Huxley asked.
"What do you mean?" Rio questioned.
"The food you mentioned," Huxley said awkwardly.
"You-" he scrutinized Huxley. "You know what, never mind, I will take you there later, once we are aloud to leave."
Huxley followed Rio out of the Institute. He followed him with Cassidy and Spenser down the brightly coloured street. They stopped at a small restaurant and entered. Rio ordered a cheese pizza and a meat lovers and two glasses of water and two Coca-Colas. They sat down in a booth.
"How are you adjusting Cassidy?" Rio asked.
"It is not terrible but why is it so creepy and why does the scientist ramble about new lab rats?" Cassidy asked.
"Do not ask questions like that, they could get you in trouble," Spenser warned stiffly and Rio shifted in his seat.
"What-" Cassidy was cut off.
"Cassidy What is your favourite colour?" Rio asked, distracting Cassidy from asking more questions.
"Orange," Cassidy answered.
Huxley shared a look of understanding with Cassidy and said, "Could we talk later."
"Of course," Cassidy smiled.
