Three months later…

"It's finally official," Tony said, walking out of the courtroom with his wife and his newly adopted son.

"Yeah. But we still have a problem." Peter said.
His parents looked at him, confused.
"I still don't remember anything from my childhood, even some recent events."

"Don't worry, we'll figure something out," Tony assured him.

They went back home, and the day went as normal.

At night, when everyone was asleep, Peter sneaked into his dad's lab and got his Spider-Man suit.

He was startled by Friday's voice chiming in, "Peter, I do not think that you are doing the right thing."

"Friday! Don't scare me like that!" He whisper-yelled.

"I apologise, Peter. But your parents gave you strict instructions not to go out as Spider-Man."

"I know, but I'm ready now. Please, don't alert them. If they ask you where I am, just tell them that I couldn't sleep so I went for a walk. Alright?"

"As you wish, Peter."

Peter smiled in victory and put on his suit. He climbed out of the window and began swinging over New York City.

He enjoyed the feeling of air hitting his face and the feeling of being high up in the air.

That night was quiet, there wasn't much crime going on. So, after swinging for an hour, Peter sat on the edge of a building, looking over the city.

He was relaxing and enjoying the breeze, when Karen alerted him, "Peter, there seems to be a fire nearby."

Peter stood up abruptly, "can you give me the address?"

Before Karen could answer him, three fire trucks drove by, so Peter followed them. But, as he swung towards the fire, the area became more and more familiar, but he couldn't place his finger on it.

As the fire trucks pulled in front of the fire, Peter jumped down. He looked at the building in front of him and froze in place.

It's the apartment building him and his aunt used to live in…

Everything came flooding back, and Peter fell on his knees, holding his head in his hand. He was having a terrible headache and was starting to panic.

One of the firefighters noticed his condition and ran to him.
"Sir, are you okay?" The firefighter asked.

Peter looked up at him and got up.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." Peter quickly said, and shot a web to a building and sat on the edge.

"Peter, your heart rate is very high. Would you like me to contact Mr Stark?" Karen asked him.

Peter couldn't get the words out, but his dad shouldn't know what's going on.

"Contacting Mr Stark."

"No, no, Karen, don't." Peter stuttered. But she had already called Tony, and now he was on his way.

Peter gave up and waited for his dad. His head was still hurting, and memories kept coming back. He couldn't bear the pain anymore and he started crying.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of metal hitting the ground, followed by his dad's voice, "Peter, are you okay?!" Tony asked, running to his son.

Peter turned around, taking off his mask, and throwing himself at Tony.
"Dad, it hurts so much."

"It's alright, calm down," Tony said, running his hand through Peter's brown curls.

Once Peter calmed down and relaxed, he explained everything.
"Karen alerted me that there was a fire when I went to check it out, it turned out to be the building my aunt and I used to live in. And, seeing it must have triggered something in my memory because everything started coming back. It hurt so badly."

"Are you okay now?" Tony asked him and Peter nodded, snuggling his face further into his father's neck.

"Let's go home so you can rest," Tony said and double-tapped the arc reactor on his chest, resulting in the suit forming around him.

He flew back to the cabin, carrying his-now sleeping-son in his arms. Once they arrived, Tony quietly walked upstairs to Peter's room and laid him on his bed.

The next morning, after breakfast, Pepper, Tony and Peter sat down to have a talk.
"Peter, what you did yesterday was dangerous, " Pepper started. "We strictly prohibited you from going out."

"I know that what I did was wrong, but I felt that I was ready to go back to fighting crime and being the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man," Peter said.

"We are not mad at you, Pete, we just want you to be safe. And we're very glad that you got your memories back." Tony said and gave his son a side hug.

Peter rested his head on Tony's shoulder and relaxed.

Later that night, the family of four sat at the dinner table, enjoying their time together.

Peter might have lost a lot in his life, but in the end, he had people who loved him and cared for him, and he wouldn't exchange his time with Tony for anything.
