Chapter 21

Y/N's POV

I go to my next class and sit beside Sowon. She looks at me with a curious expression painted in her face. Great Y/N, you're so good at pretending.

"Hey, something happened? It seems you're not okay. You can say it to me." She asked.

"Nothing. Just... You know, reports, homeworks... " I answered as I looked at her with a stressful expression.

"Oh okay... Seems like you really have a stressful day." She said and I nodded.

"Well... Just go for it. It's for your future." Sowon comforted me and I nodded.

"Btw, why are you not with Joy?" I asked curiously to her.

"Oh... We have just an misunderstanding." Sowon answered as she looked down with a sad expression.

"What kind of misunderstanding?" I asked.

"Just... You know... " Sowon said.

"Oh it's okay if you not gonna answer. It's okay." I said and Sowon look at me with a warm smile painted in her face.

"Thanks. By the way, do you like some chicken wings? I brought you some. I just remembered you in my mind." Sowon asked as she bring out the chicken wings.

"Oh of course! Thank you! I appreciated it!" I thanked her as she give me the chicken wings.

"You should eat that. I earned money just to buy that food." Sowon warmed me cutely and I just laughed.

"Yeah. I promise." I said.

"There's a report today. Did you make your report?" Sowon asked.

"Of course! Why not?" I answered.

Well, it's an report about social studies. It's about the World War II. Then our teacher said get the information about that. So yeah. We make our report.

"The teacher is coming. Get ready." She said and I nodded.

Then the teacher came in our classroom and asked if we do our report.

"Did you guys do your report?" The teacher asked.

"Yes, Ma'am!" We all answered.

"So who likes to go first?" The teacher asked and we started to avoid eye contact.

And I feel the teacher was looking at me. No please not me I'm not confident.

"Y/N L/N, please show your report in front." The teacher said as she sit in her table and I started to get nerves in my whole body.

Then I get ready the report before the greeting.

Before I get started, Sowon give me a 'good luck' face that making me a warm smile in my face.

"So we're gonna talk about the story of World War II. Before we get started, good afternoon to you all." I greeted and started the report.

I successfully done my report and everyone clapped at my performance.

"That's really good Y/N, I hope you can keep up the good work." The teacher said and I nodded with a smile.

Then the others go to the stage and started their reports. They made it successfully too.

"Congrats, Y/N. You made everyone clapped." Sowon congratulate me as the class ended.

"Hey, it's not like that. But thank you for your congratulating me. You too." I said.

"Hey, let's go to the canteen. You might be hungry." Sowon said and I nodded then we go to the canteen.

"Go find a seat just for us." Sowon said and I nodded.

I try hard to find a seat but there's so many people so I can't find empty seats.

"Y/N!" Someone shouted at me somewhere and I noticed it.

It was Joy. She was sitting in a chair with one empty seat beside her.

I go to Joy's direction and looked at her.

"Won't you mind to eat with me? I don't have a friend who's gonna eat with me." Joy asked.

"Sorry but I'm with---" I cut as she speak again.

"With Sowon? Am I right?" She asked with a blank expression painted on her face.

"Yes." I answered.

"That girl... Such an attention seeker." Joy mumbled as she looked down. But I heard what she said.

"Is she an attention seeker?" I asked curiously. I'm surprised if she's an attention seeker 'cause it's not even match on her personality.

"Attention seeker? Yes. She is. She's getting closer to you 'cause she wants to own everything. She don't want to be unknown in this school or whatsoever." Joy answered as she look at me again.

"Oh my god... That's so surprising... " I said.

"Yep. You just don't know that. I'm just being a fake friend to her. I'm just checking her moves. Don't say it to anyone what I said to you, okay?" Joy asked and I just nodded.

"So, by now, can you please eat with me? Even once?" Joy asked.

"I even prepare something for you." Joy said and she pout cutely in front of me.

"Fine." I said and seat in the empty seat beside her.

"So how are you these days? We've been not starting to talk for a long time! I think this is an miracle to me." Joy said and I nodded

"I think it is." I said and I bring out the chicken wings that Sowon gave me a while ago.

"Hey, what's that? Joy asked curiously.

"Oh, this? Chicken wings." I answered.

"Did you buy that?" Joy asked.

"Uhm... Yeah. I buy it before I go to school." I answered and she just nodded.

"Do you want some chicken wings, Joy?" I asked.

"No, thank you. It's for you. You might be hungry for so long." Joy said.

"Hey, it's not all for me. Here." I said and put a 3 chicken wings in her plate.

"Thank you, Y/N. I appreciate it." Joy said with a smile.

"You're welcome." I said and we started to eat.

Sowon's POV

After buying food, I decided to search Y/N. Where is she?! Did she go somewhere again? Oh my god. This kid is giving me stress.

I decided to search hard just to see that Y/N. Until I saw her with...

That brat.

I decided to go in front of them.

Y/N looked at me with a surprise look while Joy giving me a blank look.

"Y/N, what are you doing here with this brat?" I asked with a fussy look at Y/N.
