It had been a month since the boys took off. Montana was sitting in the library with Kellan doing homework. It was a week before their spring break.
Natasha and the girls came in.
"Montana?" Nat said
"Oh hey.." Montana said as she looked up.
"We was wondering if you would like to go with us to Cabo next week?" Bellamy said
"No..like I told Kellan when he invited me to Cancun. I have plans for spring break in Virginia." She said
"Virginia? Thats where your mom is?" Wanda said
"I know..it where I spent the last 3 years of high school." She said
"Give it up girls she isn't budging. Ive tried." Kellan said annoyed.
Kaitlyn came in with some of their other girlfriends. "Hey Montana me and the girls are going to Maui wanna come?"
She buried her face in her hands and shook her head. She started to gather her stuff up and said "Im going to make this very clear. No I cant go anywhere for spring break. I have something in Virginia that is very important that I have to be at. So please stop asking me.."
"Montana what is so important that you have to be there?" Wanda said
"None of your business...its a personal matter so please just drop it. Go enjoy your beach vacations." She said as she walked away.
They all looked at each other like what the hell just happened. A few nights later the boys were skyping in. Bucky sat close as he skyped his parents.
"How's Montana?" Sam said
"She is in a very bitchy mood lately." Wanda said
"What do you mean? I told you all to quit bothering her about the pocket dial." Bucky said as his mom rambled on about his nieces and nephews.
"She practically bit our heads off the other day. Including Kellan and Kaitlyn's in the library. All because we all asked her to join us for spring break. But she snapped and said she had something very important to be at in VA. Which is where her mom lives." Natasha said
"Hey dad..you are the general now that gives you more access right?" Bucky said as he made a list in his head.
"Yeah why?" James said
"When was Charlie's birthday? Or death?" Bucky said
James went into his home office. He logged into his laptop. He put in Charles Cooper.
"Charlie died as a Lt on June 30th 4 years ago..his birthday was May 15th." James said
"And Abigail's birthday." Bucky said
"October 20th..she got married to a Lt Col Terry Halcomb on June 5th." James said
"Anything for the family that is next week dad?" He said
"No..looks like Joey just left for his deployment. Ellie's husband Rylan is gone as well. Why what's wrong?" James said
"Montana snapped at the girls earlier saying she couldnt go with them to Cabo. She said her reasoning is because she has something very important in VA that she cant miss." Bucky said
"Oh..well whatever it is must not be related to the military. Cause her dad's parents are retired in Alabama and Abigail's parents are retired in Florida." James said
"Okay I will call her myself." Bucky said
He ended that skype call to begin another. Montana was in her room watching a movie. Her ipad started to vibrate she saw he was calling. She rolled her eyes he had been calling her every night since he left.
