Ella's POV

I am captivated by this woman's eyes, such a vibrant purple with white flicks glistening
across them, I remember reading something about violet eyes in one of my mothers books once, I'm sure if my memory serves me well it was linked to witchcraft... Not that I believe such nonsense. Before I can let my mind run away with me I am interrupted by my mothers annoyance. "Ella, show the maid to her room, I will make you a list of your errands."
"Of course, Miss."  Clearly unfazed by my mothers rude tone.

The days turned into weeks, Lottie was very quiet to start, after a little time she appeared to settle down a bit more, yet keeping herself isolated, Simply doing her errands and retiring to her room, locking the door, on most nights.

Lotties POV

"I need to get the retched outfit off" I mutter to myself trying to keep my agitation in check.
Why must it be that I have to lower my standards to get what I want? Going from family to family trying to feed my necklace. I need to find this god damn spell! I am sick of sucking the life out of people to keep myself young,  I need something more, something that cannot age, I need a vampire.
You are wondering why I need to create such an abomination? I'm fucking tired. Tired of lowering my standards to clean up after people and be treated like filth, just so I can have their youth. I have been doing this for over 200
Years.

I have met vampires, preformed rituals which I thought were to perfection, after a couple of hours the vampires begin rotting from the inside out at a rapid pace. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!
I somehow need to attach my life force to a vampire, only then, can I live on through their life force.

"I have had enough of this nonsense, I need to rest." I mutter to myself as I slowly pace myself over the my bed.

I remove my necklace and place it on my bed side table, as I look up into the mirror in front of me I am in disgust.
My haggard old wrinkled face greets me as I lock eyes with my reflection, my once vibrant violet eyes that used to shine so brightly now dull, with a slight cloudy appearance to them.
My beautiful white hair that was once long, vibrant and full of life looks straw like, grey, and as dead as I feel on the inside. For every second I have my necklace off I become weaker and weaker, but I simply cannot afford to leave it on 24/7 because it does not have enough power, I constantly have to suck the youth out of beautiful young humans to simply be able to survive.

I awaken to loud footsteps echoing through the halls slowly coming closer to my room, I know these foot steps. "What does she want now?" As I try to move myself it appears my body has become yet even weaker in my slumber, as I try to reach for my necklace I can hear Alice's footsteps getting closer to the door before they slowly come to a abrupt stop.
"Lottie, wake up. I am going into the town and it is of most importance you keep my daughter in check today."

"Of course, Miss." I croak, realising I can barely muster enough of my voice to speak.

"Are you well? You sound very hoarse this morning?" I can hear the door knob of my room start to jolt, I find all the strength I can and reach for my necklace and instantly feel the youth seeping into my skin.

"Yes miss, I am well." My now youthful voice sounding angelic like as the words roll off of my tongue.

I quickly get myself changed into my uniform and glide out of the door, as I am walking through the long oak wood hallways I walk past a beautiful bay window, with a spectacular view of the gardens behind. I give this family at least a little credit, they have an ounce of class.

As I stare at this minor satisfaction of a view, a little idea pops to mind as I catch view of Ella wearing a white gown standing in the sun reading a book, she looks so innocent... almost pure, as I'm lurking on the thought, a pure white dove lands next to her in the garden, not a single fear, this is a pure girl, I will almost feel an ounce of remorse as I drain the youth from her. I'm trying to bide my time but I know my necklace is running out, I almost feel sorry for the girl, I'm almost going to feel an ounce of remorse as I drain the life out of her.

"Time to pay this little dove a visit."

Ella's POV

This book is incredible, it speaks of all kinds of supernatural creatures and beings, as I turn the pages it flicks onto witchcraft.
My eyes scan across the pages and one particular paragraph stands out to me.

"Witches have different powers depending on what kind of light they have been given by their ancestors at birth. green light usually emits from a witches magic when the magic that is being used is herbal. These witches use their powers for the soul purpose of heeling and the use of herbs. Witches with a white light are witches with powers of a pure nature, when witches start to disrespect the balance of nature their white light will turn dark, witches with a blue light are of a elite bloodline. Witches with a blue light are a direct descendant of the most powerful witch to be known called Esther."

I'm so engrossed in my book but I can feel a presence in front of me, as I look up my gaze meets a pair of violet eyes, it shakes me to my core making me drop my book.

"Hello, little dove." She says with a smile on her face.
Lottie is standing with her arms crossed with a look of confusion on her face.

"Im very sorry, you startled me, I was engrossed in the book I was reading." My voice was barely a whisper as I try to calm down my rapid heartbeat.

"What are you up to? She says with a look of amusement.

I proceed to tell her what I have been reading in my books and she is listening intently to everything I have been saying.
"I don't think I believe such things."

She is immediately shocks holding her hands up in protest, before regaining herself and dusting off her uniform, he face forming a neutral look, "why don't you believe such things? People have been hung at the neck for being a witch."

As she purrs the words from her mouth I hand my head in shame, I guess the reason why I refuse to believe such things is because I guess I don't want to believe someone could hold that much power.
"I guess I wouldn't want to believe that someone could hold that much power"

"What would be so bad about it?" She shrugs before folding her arms once again.

"I will not burden you with what I hope I could be..."

I see a wave of confusion come over Lottie's face, she looks genuinely confused for a second before regaining her composure.
"I will always offer my ear for you Ella, if you are comfortable to share your heart with me, it will not be repeated." She says with a neutral expression on her face

Before I know it, I open my heart to this stranger as if I had known her for years.
"Everywhere I go, people look at me and treat me like a disgrace. I never try to do anything wrong, yet I feel I cannot do anything right, everything I do I appear to agitate everyone around me. My mother hasn't showed me any kind of love for as long as I remember, I have never so much as had a compliment from anyone, I guess I am just destined to be alone."

My mouth completely starts running away with me, and Lottie stands there completely composed, taking in every word that I am saying.

"I would give my soul just to feel wanted and loved by anyone else other than my father, the only person who cares about.."

Lottie's POV

As I am listening to this girl ramble on about her non existent problems, it strikes me like one thousand knifes when the words "I would give my soul" her soul?

It strikes me like a slap in the face.

"That's it!!"
