Kokichi POV

I woke up still remembering what happened last night. Oh God my ears hurt.. I closed my eyes and covered my ears. After a few minutes, I stood up and did my usual morning school routine. I stare at myself in the mirror. I want to tie my hair. It's been so long you know? I stare at the hair tie beside the soap.

Just for a change...

I picked it up and tied my hair to a ponytail. Good thing it's a bit longer now. I walk out of the bathroom and went downstairs. "You tied your hair?" I nod. "That's good. It is getting a bit hot" I took my bag and left. Once I reached school I was greeted by a hug from behind. I turned around to see Kaede.
"O-oh hey Ka-"

"You're a girl aren't you?" She asked me. I froze. "Rantaro told me" I look at Rantaro that was sweating. Instead of being angry and yelling at the avocado boy, I started to tear up.
"Oh no! Kokichi are you okay?!" She held my cheek as tears fell from my eyes.
"I-i trusted y-you R-rantaro" I hiccuped.
"Look what you did Rantaro! You made.. him cry!" Tsumugi yelled at the boy. He jumped.

"Don't blame me! Blame Kaede! She forced me to tell you guys!" Kaede glared at him but sighed. She knew it was true and I did too.
"Now look what you did. You made her cry" a sudden voice made me jump.
"Stay away Shuichi" Kaede pulled me to a protective hug.
"I'm not gonna do anything. Plus we did hangout yesterday, right?" He looked at me... They looked at me. I just nod.

"And you didn't tell me?!" I started to cry more from the girl's yelling.
"O-oh no I'm so sorry Kokichi!" She hugged me more. This hug is too tight cause it feels like I can't ....breathe.
"How did you know he's a girl?" Kaito raised a brow.
"Since she bumped into me"
"I knew since I helped her when she was stuck between branches with Kaede" Rantaro said.

"And since when are you kind?" Kaito asked again. Shuichi laughed.
"Did I even acted like I was kind?"
"You d-did yesterday. Y-you even o-offered me a drink b-but I d-declined" I countered. He blushed and looked away.

"I have never seen him so.. shy" Kiibo said.
"Whatever I'm leaving" he then walked away. After some talk with my friends, we went inside before the bell rang signaling that class is about to start. The class was noisy as usual. The teacher wasn't here because she was at a seminar. Miu explained that to us.
"Hey Kokichi, want to hangout at my place again?" My mind immediately went to where my mother was being the over protective person she is last night.

"A-ah s-sorry... B-but i-i'll have to dec-"
"No, we could just hangout at a cafe" a cafe?
"S-sure? But m-make sure that we aren't g-going to s-stay there for long" he nodded happily.
"Since when does mister creep talk to someone?" Miu asked looking at our direction but mostly looking at the boy beside me which was Shuichi... Duh.
"Since yesterday bitch" before he got to say a bad word, Kaede covered my ears.

She growled and left.
"Shes probably gonna pay some of those muscular men to beat the shit out of me" he laughed.
"A-aren't you worried aboht yourself? W-what i-if you g-get hurt?!" Be laughed and patted my head.
"Don't worry... I promise I won't" he smiled at me making me blush.

It's finally time for lunch, recess like I said, whatever you want to call it. Me and Kaede were walking to the cafeteria, now with Shuichi close behind us. The others were already at the table like last time. We walked inside and i found myself being pinned to a wall.

"Oh crap.. wrong person" he whispered before leaving. I stare at Kaede in confusion while the girl was just blankly staring at the boy.
"Hey skank! Come here and show us what you got!" The boy yelled at Shuichi. He was right. She did paid muscular men to challenge him to a fight. I notice something in his pocket.

"A knife?!" How the hell does students get to bring stuff like that in school?!
"Let's go.. I don't want to see some fighting and blood here in school" Rantaro grabbed my shoulder and now we were walking out.
"Typical degenerate males" Tenko huffed. When I saw Shuichi down and was about to get hit... I did something I probably did and did not regret.

I ran towards him ignoring all the yells of my friends...

And took the blow.
