I wake up in my old bedroom. Castiel is standing by my bed.
He turns around. "Good, you're awake."
"What happened?" I ask.
"You went to find Lucifer, and you were knocked out," Castiel replies.
"Where were you? I was worried sick about you."
"He got me, just like you feared. I managed to escape because I threw Meg into the holy fire trap that I was in. I found you three and got you out before Death arrived."
I sit up. "Thank you, Cas."
"You're welcome. Sam and Dean are downstairs with your father. Would you like to join them?"
I shake my head. "I would like to talk to you."
"Alright." Then, he sits down on my bed next to me.
"While we were having our little last night on Earth party, I don't really remember some things. Could you fill me in on what happened?"
"We took a group photo, then you brought me up here. That's why you woke up in here. It was the first place I thought to put you."
I feel my cheeks flush. "I'm sorry — I can't help what I do while I'm drunk. What happened up here?"
"You said some things then tried to get me to dance with you. I had to catch you, though because I tried to stop, and you almost fell. You did some things after that."
"What?"
"You said that you had very strong feelings for me, that you loved me, and then you..."
"Then I what?"
"You kissed me."
I know I'm blushing now. "Again, I'm really sorry...I didn't mean to. I just, I-I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything." Castiel holds my face in his hands. This can't be happening, not now, not here. He leans in closer then kisses me on my cheek.
"Cas," I say.
"I must go." Then, he disappears before I can say anything else.
———
It's been a couple weeks since Ellen and Jo died. Dad hasn't been taking it very well, neither have Sam or Dean. Soon after the whole thing happened, they took off without me. I'm not sure where they went or why they decided to leave without me, but it might be good for me to take a break.
I haven't spoken to Castiel since the night that I was knocked out by Lucifer, and I've tried to contact him, but, of course, it never works. Maybe Castiel knows that I really do have strong feelings for him. Maybe I scared him off because of it.
Great, that's just spectacular.
I've been hiding in my old bedroom a lot lately. I haven't been out doing much since Sam and Dean left, but I'm going to head downstairs for the first time in a while. I walk into the living room to see Dad sitting there watching television. "Oh, look who decided to come out of their cave," he says.
"Very funny," I reply sarcastically. "Have you heard from Sam or Dean lately?"
"No, they haven't called or anything. I'm not sure what's going on or—" Then, his phone starts ringing. He's on the phone for a few minutes then he hangs up.
"What was that?" I ask.
"We need to get going," is all he says. We drive to an insane asylum, maybe Sam and Dean found a case here. Dad stops in front of the door.
