A/N: Continuing from my last author note, back in 2012 for NaNo I wrote Sin and Love. During the summer though, I decided to write a preview for it, to get a handle on the characters and the world and help me come up with more ideas. A lot changed since that original preview, from the way I spelled character names, to the PoV used, and lots of other things. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this.

Also, for those unfamiliar with Sin and Love, it deals in part with a romantic relationship with two guys, as does this preview.

Sin and Love Preview.

There's only so much loud noise someone can take. I mean, I like music as much as the next guy, but there is only so much Skrillix and Deadmouse that I can stand when it's being blasted from about 20 stereos surrounding the house. Heck, even out here on the deck, I can barely hear myself think. It would be a nice calm night if it weren't for that. The moon is shining bright; even the stars are out. It's great Matt has a house so far away from the city, after spending all week in the middle of Columbus; it's nice to not have skyscrapers looking over us.

It's times like this I just like thinking, imagining how far away the stars are. How many and how great they are. And here I am staring up at it, somehow significant in the eyes of God. It's truly awe inspiring to think about how great He is.

I'm broken out of my thoughts by a voice coming from behind me. "What are you doing out here?" Samson screams, but even so I barely hear him. I can't with the sound of Daft Punk's music coming out the door.

I signal for Samson to close the door behind him and he does before walking over to where I was sitting on the deck. I know I'm going to have a headache on the way back home tonight. And probably all weekend too.

"So, what's up Jacob?"

"Just too loud in there," I say shrugging my shoulders.

"Really, but don't you play guitar in your church band thing?"

"It's different. Not nearly as loud and doesn't give me a headache."

"You just have no taste in music."

"You mean people with lots of money pushing buttons on keyboards?" I admit it, compared to the skill it takes to handle the notes on guitar, especially playing live when there is no such thing as a redo; it seems kind of silly to equate rock and techno. Maybe that's not quite a fair comparison, but whatever.

Samson just shrugs his shoulders.

"Sorry."

"Well Jacob, you're the musician, maybe you have a point. Besides, they do have it too loud."

"So, what brought you out here?" I ask, not wanting to dwell on something as stupid as our different tastes in music.

He takes a seat against the house and the moonlight glistens perfectly against his eyes. The smoothness his of his face is highlighted by the light of the moon. I can really see his muscles through his tight t-shirt. I quickly look away, back to the night sky before he can notice me staring. Or at least I hope it was quick enough. "Walked by the kitchen to grab a drink, and saw you were out here. Figured I'd come check on you, make sure you were okay."

"Heh, thanks. I'm fine though."

"You want me to take you back home? I'm sure Colin won't mind riding home with Aaron."

I'm surprised at his offer. I mean we don't know each other that well. We don't talk much, and other than both enjoying sports, don't have much in common. If it weren't for the fact he was so hot, I probably would barely know his name.
