park jimin
— born in year 12,323 in haztaea, a planet 3,000 light years away from earth.
— he was part of the cosmos, a super intelligent space exploration organization in the milky way galaxy's advanced civilizations that focuses on finding habitable planets on the milky way.
— he was 18 years old, when he was promoted and became a cosmo, a term used for the officers in the organization.
— he was 26 years old in earth, while he was already 216 as of the haztaea's age (because of his missions).
— he has a wife named seulgi, and they are married for 12 years (2 years in earth) in secrecy without the organization knowing and his family, which led him in pain when he's going to leave her behind.
— haztaea is a dying planet, the resources are all mostly gone, and this planet as the oldest civilization survives mostly on the other planets close by.

earth year; year 519, the beginning of the middle ages.

"you need to go to that planet, jimin. the data says a lot. it's habitable, and we could live there if we wanted to survive in this damn planet." i heard yoongi muttering while he was looking at the data on the screen. again, i sighed. not wanting to push the argument further to the point i rather stop this job and got to face this dying planet in misery which was very unhelpful of me.

"fine, fine, fine. i lost. i know it's difficult to travel towards that star system, but if you wanted a suicide mission, we go." i said rather defeated. yes, it was a risk, going there at 3,000 light years away, and even though there is a wormhole at the edge of our system, it could take us a thousand years to reach that planet in the fastest speed of light. i got into 100 years to 500, but even the the speed of the ship is 2 times the speed of light for 3,000 years, it still could take up about 1,500 years. it's been months and yoongi really insisted. he wanted to go there, to explore more of the vast empty space of the universe and see if it could offer life. we made many observations around many stars and planets to see what they could offer but to no avail. until we saw this data, a planet that is habitable to us, and could bring life— according to the results it ended up since many months that we observed the planet.

but, the hell— i'm not going for this even though this could be a fucking success.

"again, it's not a suicide mission. you've been in different 53 missions jimin! you've been hibernated in a spaceship for almost 100 years because of a potential planet but when we arrived, it wasn't. you've been going out to space exploring, but this? why?" i stopped writing a piece of result from my report and looked at yoongi with a piercing look.

"if you are going to led me in a hibernation of a thousand years, then so be it. my family is here, and the planet cannot sustain more lives so does the age scientists. i may have money for these travels but it scares me a lot that i may go home to see them already in graves, yoongi." i stood up and walked away, not sparing a single glance at yoongi who was looking at me. i came out of our office to see how yoongi's plan is going well. we've been in these arguments many times in the past months, but... something tells me that there is something to see in that planet. it was almost... pulling me in. but i just shrugged off my thoughts and looked at the colossal ship named YG5321 in front of me.
