22: Dad

Chaeyoung's POV

"Where is dad ??" Borah asked me and all of us became silent.

I couldn't answer. Jimin quickly covered for me.

"He has a concert. He will join us later." Borah nodded.

They didn't question more and continued playing around.

I sighed in relief and disappointment. I never wanted to lie to them but there is no other way right now.

Baekhyun's POV

"Baekhyun got it wrong again." Luhan said.

"Everybody take 5." Suho sighed and said.

He approached me.

"Baek...--" I cut him off.

"Look, I can't concentrate anymore. I've tried my level best but all I can think about is..." I stopped midway as I felt tears rolling down my eyes once again. Maybe I did wrong. I should have prioritised my kids instead of my career.

"Baek, I understand what you're going through but, our concert is in a week. We all want to help you find them and get you guys together again but we promised our fans. Please... Just this once. After that you're free. We'll go look for them. I promise." He said and I nodded.

1 week later

Chaeyoung's POV

"Isn't that dad ??" Borah said and I almost lost my balance.

"O-oh in the TV you mean." Taehyung said, a little taken aback himself.

"Yeah. I can't wait to see him after this concert." She said and I sighed for the millionth time this week.

"Eat your dinner and go to sleep. You've got school tomorrow." I said, trying to change the subject.

They groaned and went upstairs.

"Call him." Jungkook said.

"Call who ??" I asked him.

"Joo hyung." He said.
