Miranda's past-chapter nine Part Two

THREE MONTHS LATER

It was mine and Shannon's birthday. We were in America at the time crashing out in an apartment that we were using. Zayn and the boys had been planning a surprise party for us, which we didnt know at the time.

The boys had persuaded us to go out somewhere together for sometime, so we werent always around them and we got to have a break. "Well what do you want to do then?" asked Shannon looking at me as we left the apartment.

"How about we go shopping for some new stylish matching dresses, shoes and accessories?" I suggested, with a twinkle in my eye.

Shannon nodded in agreement. "Lets get to it!"

THAT AFTERNOON

We arrived back at the appartment a few hours later, and we were going to get changed into our new dresses, shoes and accessories. Shannon unlocked the front door and pushed the door open. It was dark and nobody seemed to be about.

"Hello?" called Shannon, entering the lounge with me.

Suddenly the lights flickered on.

"SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

One Direction jumped up from behind the food table and a few of our friends, Georgie, Fifi, Mel and Didi jumped up from behind the couch. We screamed with delight. Liam, Zayn, Louis, Niall and Harry all jumped up onto the small stage they had set up in their apartment, and each of them grabbed a microphone.

"Happy Birthday Shannon and Miranda!" shouted Zayn and then he and the boys broke into a song.

"I tried playing it cool, but when im looking at you, I cant ever be brave cos you make my heart race," sang Louis, pointing at me and beckoning me to join him.

"Shot me out of the sky, you're my kryptonite, you keep making me weak, yea frozen and cant breathe," sang Harry, looking up at the sky.

"Somethings gotta give it now, cos im dying just to make you sing, that I need you here with me now, cos you've got that one thing," sang Liam.

Once they had finished their first song 'One Thing', they sang 'Live While We're Young', 'What Makes You Beautiful' and 'Tell Me A Lie'. After all of the songs, everyone whistled and applauded and screamed and shouted.

I went upstairs to get changed, and so did Shannon. After a couple of minutes we came back downstairs. When Louis caught sight of me, he stopped dead and his mouth hung open. "Oh my gosh," he breathed and he nearly passed out on the floor

"Snap out of it," snapped Niall, slapping Louis round the face.

"Woha, are you starting a fight?" yelled Louis, glaring at Niall. Niall shook his head.

"Good. You better not. EVER."

Louis walked over to me and slipped his arm round my waist. "You look amazing," he sighed, kissing me on the cheek. I blushed.

Shannon bought out her phone and snapped a photo of us together. I looked at her. "Dont you dare put that on twitter," I warned her. She just laughed and smiled at me.

"I wont," she said, walking over to the food table.

Louis and I decided to go out onto the apartment balcony to spend some time together by ourselves. "May I take a picture?" He asked, fluttering his eyelashes at me, like I would always do to him.

I nodded and I poisitioned myself on the balcony, leaning into the corner. He snaoped the photo and then came over to me.

"Thank you, for this."

"Hmm?"

"Thanks for the party."

"Oh, no problem, Zayn organised it all really."

"Well, you made it so much better."

"Really? How?"

"By being here."

"Oh."

I suddenly noticed that fans were gathering around the apartment block, snapping photos of us on the balcony. Louis noticed too. "Uh oh, we better go back inside."

We raced back through the doors and pulled the curtains across the balcony doors. "Whats up?" Zayn asked.

"Fans, everywhere," gasped Louis. Harry groaned.

"Just what we need," he said, "Especially as we were gonna take you girls out to the park tomorrow. Now thats gonna be a problem cos the fans know where we are."

"No worries, Im sure we can do that." Louis replied.

THE NEXT DAY

It was the next morning and I looked out of the window. Lots of fans had gathered outside and I was not looking forward to making a break through them all.

Someone knocked on my door. "Who is it?" I yelled.

"A special person to see you." I smiled and opened the door.

"Hi."

"Hi."

"So, erm you ready to go out for a walk?"

"Yep. I'll just get my jacket." I opened the door to my bedroom and went to find my favourite jacket to put on and wear. Then we both left.

We ran through the fans, making a clear path trying to get through them. But they were chasing us still. Suddenly i blacked out and collapsed on the floor.

FIVE HOURS LATER

"Louis...what happened?" I mumbled. Louis looked down at me.

"The fans, were chasing us and then you blacked out," he replied. Suddenly his phone buzzed and he looked at it. It was a message on Twitter.

@louistomlinson have you been beating up your girlfriend???

I looked at his phone and anger flashed inside me. He posted a picture of ME on TWITTER when I blacked out. "Why did you fo that???" I yelled at him.

Niall came into the room straight away. "What's going on?" he asked. I got up and stood away from them. Niall and Louis started arguing and then it turned into a fight. The other boys tried to break it up.

I cried. Louis had broken my heart. There was only one thing to do.

Run.

I didnt dare look back, but I could hear the door slam as Niall called out to me. Louis was with him. I ran as fast as I could, which I know is very fast. I took a glance back and the look on Niall's face meant that he knew he wasnt going to catch me.

He never did.
