Richie flung his phone against his bedroom wall in frustration. He proceeded to scream into his pillow and hit himself in the head repeatedly shouting "FUCK YOU EDDIE" then broke down into tears, realising clearly he did something to mess up him and Eddies friendship, is that all it was? A friendship. Eddie was in his room crying, was he overreacting? I mean- all richie did was break his heart and leave him there shattered. Eddie kaspbrack didn't want to love richie tozier, but it felt like something he had to do, a necessity. It was still raining outside but that didn't stop Richie from scrambling downstairs, past his drunk father in the living room and outside. He didn't know where to go but ended up at a party that his friend bill invited him to that morning.He pushed passed all the crowds in the hallway and made it to the kitchen where he chugged four beers with everyone cheering around him. After that he went to his friend group which was Bill, Stan, Beverly, Mike and Ben. He could hear the muffled sounds of "hey rich! You showed up" "rich are you okay?" "How many of those beers have you had" "have you been crying?" He then got dragged to the side by Mike and Stan, in a quiet room where they both sat richie down on the bed. "Rich, what happened to you?" Mike said "I don't know" Richie sleazily spoke out. "Are you hurt?" Stan said whilst inspecting his body. "No, I'm fine guys, really" richie said pushing Stan away. "Come on tell us what happened buddy, we can help"
"I'm okay guys, but I want to get out of here before I'm sick"
"Not until you tell us what got you into this mess"
"I'M THE MESS, OKAY MIKE? NOW JUST FUCK OFF AND LEAVE ME ALONE!" Richie screamed through the fresh tears pouring down his face. Mike and Stanley stood in shock when Beverly burst through the door after hearing the shouting from outside. She just sat down on the bed and pulled him into a big hug. Richie appreciated all of this, but what he wanted more than anything was for Eddie to be there. To have Eddies arms around him. And- it just wasn't Eddie, it was Beverly. Bev motioned to Stan and Mike to leave the room so she could speak to richie. "Hey rich" Beverly said softly into Richie's ear."Hi bev" richie said trying his best to hold in his tears."Please tell me what happened, I want to help". And richie knew he had to get this out to someone. He just didn't want her to know about Eddie. "It's a girl, I think I've broke her heart bev, and I don't know what to do" richie spoke quietly, wanting to be understood. "Okay, who is this girl?" Beverly questioned. "I can't tell you, I'm sorry but I just need to get my mind off her". "I have an idea" Beverly said with a smirk. "What?" Richie asked. "Go downstairs and grab the first girl you see, and just dance with her, see where it goes". "Beverly, I don't know if that's a good idea-". "Oh come onn rich, you said you wanted to take your mind off this girl? Why not". Richie was too drunk to care at this point so he did what Beverly told him and he went downstairs and danced with this girl called Effy to some shitty music, it wasn't nearly the same as dancing with Eddie. He was doing all he could to take his mind off of Eddie. Eddie. Eddie. The name just repeated in his mind like a song he couldn't get out. That's when he did a mindless thing. He pulled this girl in and kissed her. Wow he was so stupid. Richie stormed out the room with a red lipstick stain on his lips and a lot of thoughts going through his head. He just wanted Eddie.
