Evenings in L.A (a Cody Simpson love story)

6 Months passed by, since I met her the very first time.I still remember the day like it just happened yesterday.I was downtown to get my family their christmas presents as it started to snow like crazy.How unlikely for L.A. It never snows in Cali, the last time in 1962!Whatever, I was walking really fast to get to the car that would pick me up, quickly.Then I heard someone heavily breathing coming towards me.I looked up and I saw a brunette girl running towards me.She kept looking back, with a scared expression on her face.Just like someone was chasing her.The car was on the other side of the street and Matt was already waving at me, yelling

"CODY, come here now!"

But I couldn't.She wanted to pass me but I grabbed her wrist.Her eyes were wide opened as she turned around, her wet brunette hair smacking into her face.Her ckeeks were colored in a soft pink, so was her nose.Her lips were full and red like blood.She looked so pretty.

"You need a ride to any place?My car is just across the street, we could take you with us a little"

She just turned around.She saw the car, then she turned her head into the direction she came from, then she looked at me.

"Sure" she whispered.

I took her hand and led her to the car quickly.I opened the door, she got in and I closed the door.I think, she was happy that the windows were darkened up.

Matt was asking me a little louder what I was doing, who she was.

"Chill, bro.She needed a ride.Shut up."

Matts mouth was a little opened, his eyebrows lifted, but he was quiet.Then he turned around, shaking his head, mumbleing "Stupid boy".

I asked her how she was.She just answered she was fine.I shut up, she didn't say a word neither.Around 10 blocks later she mumbled "Stop, let me out" so my driver stopped and she got out of the car, whispering a "Thank you" towards me, her eyes were looking scared but also grateful.The door was already closed and she was gone when I replied my "No problem".

I met her again 2 weeks later.It was 1 day before christmas eve and I was out with Billy and Josh.Josh was visiting me over the holidays.We were out to hit the movies.It was getting dark as we came out of the cinema.It was cold. I couldn't imagine anyone being out longer than 10 minutes on purpose.I've caught her sitting on a bench between two street lights.She was wearing a red thick coat and a black beret.She was reading a book.How could she go out in this coldness to read a book?

I stopped and stared.Josh and Billy were laughing and hitting my arm 

"Someones eye got caught by a girl" they yelled.

I looked at them, laughed and hit them back.

"Go ahead, I will catch up with you guys later."

They bawled a little but they left.I crossed the street and sat down next to her.

"It's pretty cold outside." I started.

"Yes it is.Maybe you should get in or you will catch a cold." she replied.Her eyes were still focussed onto the book."The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks I guessed.

"Why are you out here?" I asked.

"For some reasons." She answered after a little pause.

"Do you remember me?" I asked.

She looked up but she didn't look at me for long.Her eyes went back to the ground quickly.

"How couldn't I" she whispered.

Then she started to cough.

"Do you have a cold?" I asked.

"No, I'm fine" she replied in a break betweet two of her coughs.

I took my scarf and wrapped it around her neck.He looked up, right into my eyes.I got lost in them a little while.Then I got up and wanted to leave.

"How should I give you back your scarf?" She yelled as I was walking away.

"I'm sure you will get a chance.Merry Christmas!" I answered.
