Evenings in L.A (part 4)

This evening my mums best friends came over for dinner.One of them, Lane, brought her daughter, Melissa.She was 9 years old and sort of obsessed...with me.She really thought I was into her and told that everywhere, I heard.She didn't want to leave me by myself even when I walked into my room and closed the door with her being outside.She just came in as well.Melissa was really annoying.

Around 9pm they all left, I was really happy Melissa was finally gone.We were alone again, so parents finished cleaning the kitchen and then went to bed.As soon as the lights turned off, I grabbed my jacket and left my room.I sneaked down the stairs and grabbed my keys.Then I opened the door and left.I walked to the tree house again.My heart started beating faster as I came closer to the tree house.What happened to me?

I arrived at the tree house soon, then I climbed up the ladder.She was still awake and smiled at me as soon as she saw my blonde hair.

“Hi blonde” she said with a big smile.I melted a little, she looked really cute.

“Hi” I answered, although I wanted to call her beautiful or gorgeous.I felt like it was sort of misplaced.

“How are you, are you cold?” I asked a little worried.

“Yes, I'm cold a little, it's not nice sitting out here alone all by myself.I can't sleep, not just because I'm afraid of murderes or rapers, I'm also afraid of not waking up again..”

I instantly rushed over to her and put my arms around her, her head automatically moved to my chest.I started rubbing her arm.

“Can I ask you a question?” I asked softly.

“Yes, for sure!” she answered quickly.

“Okay...Uhm...Sooo...What's your name?You know mine but I don't know yours?”

She laughed a little.A wonderful little laugh.

“Well, you're right!My name is Aria” She looked up to me.She smiled, which made me smile as well.

“Wonderful name” I said.

Aria looked down and started to blush.

“Thank you for your compliment” she said a little shy.

I hugged her even tighter and she snuggled into my chest even more.I was a little scared she could hear my heart beat, it was going faster than normally.

“Do your parents know about you being here with me?”

“Actually...No.”

“Oh.”

Our convo was over.We just sat there holding each other , well me holding her and she leaning her head against my chest, and looking into the still burning candle.I don't know why but I felt like it was sort of romantic, I guess.

She slowly drifted away into her dreams.Her eyes were closed, her mouth was slightly opened and she breathed consistently.I watched and holded her for a few more moments and then slowly and gently laid her down.I decided to take off my jacket because I was worried she could freeze.Then I laid it onto her just like the following blanket I brought with me today.I wrapped it around her tightly.I watched her sleeping for a minute, then I left.It was late.

ARIA p.o.v

I woke up alone.He didn't stay, why should he?The sun shined bright into my lair.I was amazed by the fact I wasn't shaking and freezing, so I took off the blanket and noticed Codys jacket.He must've left it here so it could keep me warm, I thought.It was a nice, warm thought which made me smile.Then I blew out the candle which was still burning (where did his mum buy this candle?!) and yawned and stretched.Right after that my tummy was sending me a message.It told me I was hungry.Luckily Cody gave me some money, so I grabbed it and counted, '10,15,20,5,100 -what?!Cody gave me over 150 bux?!Why did he do that?Did he like me?Like no, don't even think about it Aria, don't even think about it.He probably doesn't like you, he probably just pities me...' I told myself and it happened I really believed in it.But the bad thing was, I really liked him...

CODY p.o.v

It was like 1 am when I fell to bed completely tired.My eyes closed instantly I was asleep in secconds.

Alli woke me up without giving trouble to wake me up gently.She just just crashed into my room screaming

“CODY CODY!PASTRY WANTS ME TO BE THEIR MODEL!OH MY GOSH I'M LIKE DYING!”

I was instantly awake

“Alli, hun, that's nice and I'm really happy for you BUT I was asleep and I'd be really gratefull if you woke me up more quiet and gentle next time.What time is it?”

“It's 11am.” Alli left my room a little offended without saying any more words.I felt bad.

5 minutes later I got off and took a shower.I guess you know what -or who- I was thinking about, right?

Whatever, it was 12 when I was ready to go.My mum was out for brunch with her girlfriends and Dad was probably still asleep, so I was all by myself while eating breakfast.After cleaning the dishes I wanted to grab my jacket to leave the house but I had to realize, I left it at the tree house.So I had to earch for my old jacket.15 more minutes later, I was on my way to the tree house.

I arrived at the woods soon.I was walking towards the tree house when I heard a man saying

“She has to be somewhere here”

I never ran faster.I ran to the tree house and climbed up the ladder so I could get her out of here before they would finde us.I climbed up and had to notice:

she was gone.
