The truth

Shiria's POV

       I have been seeing Kurapika less than usual. That's because i have been digging to where i really come from, who my parents are and who killed them, as well as why they were killed. Right now i'm in the library.

"Shiria, are you okay?"

"Neon? What are you doing here?"

"I heard you have been in here lately. Kurapika has been gloomy, saying he must have done something wrong"

"Eh? I was only investigating"

Kurapika thought of that? Well, i do miss him. But this is also important for me.

"Investigating? Oh...."

"So far, i got a few informations of who i am" I said

"That's great! What are those?" She asked

"Um...sorry Neon. I planned on telling Kurapika first" I said

"Oh...well that's alright. Oh! If you're looking for him, he's in his room"

"Why?" I asked. It's not bad to be concern for my boyfriend right?

"He overslept, i think? He was working all night" She replied

"Thanks Neon!"

I quickly ran out of the library and headed to Kurapika's room. Why didn't he tell me about this? Don't i deserve to know?

As soon as i arrived, i slammed the door open

"Who's there?!"

Opps...i seemed to have startled him. But i need to talk to him.

"Kurapika!"

"S-Shiria?!"

"What happened to you?!" I approached him

"I just slept late...that's all-"

"What do you mean that's all?! Kurapika, you'll gst sick if you keep on doing that!"

"I'm fine Shiria, don't be angry"

"I'm not angry, I'm worried!"

Geez...why can't he see that?

"Sorry, i didn't intend to make you worry" He smiled

Ugh! He's lucky i can't stay mad at him!

"Whatever..."

"Wait, why haven't i seen you for the last couple of days?" He asked

"Huh? Oh! I was investigating my past, here"

I said as i showed him the folder.

"I haven't read it, because i want to read it with you...i was scared of reading it"

He stared at me straight in the eye before smiling.

"Come here, we'll read it together" He said

I blushed and sat on the bed. This is quite embarrassing, since i just noticed he is shirtless. I can see his well built body. Wait, what am i thinking?!

"Shiria?"

"Huh?"

"You were spacing out"

"Oh...l-let's just read it"

"I guess my investigation is worth it"

"I'm alright, Kurapika"

Killed in the forest, the killer/killers unknown

"That's what you got so far...are you alright?" Kurapika asks, concern was hinted in his voice

"I'm alright, just sad to know i'm the last of my bloodline...and also because the killer or killers is still unknown" I said. My mother and father are gone, and i'm the last one. How did i even survive?

"Shh....stop crying..." Said Kurapika as he hugged me while rubbing his hand on my back. I didn't even realize i was already crying.

"I'm fine...thanks" I smiled at him, he smiled back but i knew he was still worried.

"Anything for you..."

In an instant, ny face flushed red and started to heat up. Kurapika is so sweet! I'm so lucky to have him!

"Hahaha! Your face is red!" He laughed

How that melts my heart! His laughter is like music to my ears!

"S-shut up! Is it my fault to be touched by your words?" I retorted

He chuckled and hugged me tighter. But not too tight, just enough.

"You're just too cute. I can't help but laugh at your cuteness!" Kurapika states

My heart skipped a beat after he said that. Why does he always make my heart flutter?

"You're too sweet today, what did you eat last night?" I said changing the topic

"Nothing really. Maybe it's an effect for not seeing you for a couple of days" He said

"I hate you...but i love you" I said

"Huh? What does that mean?" He asked sounding confused

"I hate you for making my heart beat like this, and i love you" I said burying my head into his chest

"Hahaha, you're so cute! And i love you too"
