Tom sat in his room, cleaning his gun. He was in his regular attire; a dark blue button up shirt with a black sleeve cut vest, with a weird checkered circle at each of his upper arm on his sleeves. His visor was 'glued' to his face, keeping it from falling while he looked down at his hands, cleaning up his gun.
Tord sat at his desk, reading over the latest attack plan. His eyes were drooping, clearly exausted from all the work. Adjusting the sleeve of his blue overcoat over his metallic right arm, the red leader glares down at his papers before pushing them away in frustration.
Tom looked over at his 'walkie-talkie'and stared for a moment, before sighing and looking away. Was he waiting for something? Or someone to call him? But why would he want to be called for by HIM? Hasn't he always been rivals with him? Maybe a sudden change...
In his own office, Tord grabs his walkie talkie off his belt and presses the receiver end.
He looked down at his gun, resting the cloth on his bed. A familiar voice makes it's way out of Tom's walkie talkie, causing him to flinch.
"Tom, come to my office."
Sighing once more as he got up, Tom picked up the walkie talkie and replied, putting his gun into it's station.
"Right over, sir. Over.."Tord was ready for Tom, already staring intently at the door. Deep down, the leader enjoyed the male's company, but he wasn't about to admit that. The door opens, and Tom walks in. Tord's eyes scan the male, appreciating the way the uniform he issued fit him. Gesturing to him, Tord sighs deeply.
"Come, I want you to look over this."Tom simply nodded and walked over to him, his hands clasped together behind his back. His expression was characteristically blank as he walked towards the leader.
His...Leader.
Noticing how far Tom stood from his desk, Tord grabbed the male by his waist and pulled him closer.
" If you can't see, you don't have to stand so far..." He mutters.
Tom flinched, biting his tongue, still trying to maintain posture. His visor didn't show the green outlines of his eyes, a tell towards his uncomfortableness.
"I can see perfectly, sir.."
"Sure ..."
The Red Leader ignores the smaller male's protests and keeps him where he is. Now closer up, Tord takes in the fact that Tom's hands are shaking, the only tell toward the fact that he's getting to him.
" Something the matter, soldier?"
"Not at all, sir.. "
Tom looked over at Red from the direction he was facing, the green outlines appearing, showing his 'unbothered' expression.
"What did you need me to look over exactly?"
Sighing, Tord picks up the papers that contained the battle plans for the next attack on the green base.
"Just this.."
Tom looked down at the papers Red held, scanning them with his own vision before his visor scanned it in another action.
"Hm.. What's the matter with it, sir?"
"Putting in the variables, there are too many things that could go wrong!"
Getting up, Tord begins to pace the room.
"The Green Leader could have some sort of hit team to take out the elite troops, or a sniper group stationed right there."
Tord jabs his finger at a secluded spot on the GL base layout.
"That's what I would have done. There's just no way to get out of this without taking major damage on our side."
Tom thought for a moment, generating all the details which Red had spoken to him of, looking down at his side without actually moving his body.
"If Green does what you would've done... what about something that would work, which you wouldn't do. Though if we rearrange the setup of a plan you wouldn't ever execute, it may as well work."
Sitting down at his desk again, Tord considers what Tom just said.
"That... might actually work. Yes... If I just deploy the troops here and here..."
Tord takes the plans from Tom and begins making the necessary adjustments.
"Perfect! This is exactly why I love you, Thomas."
Tord freezes, realizing what he just said.
Tom had smiled slightly throughout the entire session, listening to his endless brainstorming, chuckling to himself in his head. He enjoyed Red's enthusiasm, it gave him a bit of pleasure to see his leader happy. Aftee hearing the surprising ending causing Red's silence, he didn't realize much so he proceeded to act normal.
"When will you schedule to attack the Green base, sir?" He spoke as if he were non human, almost like a robot sort of monotony.
"Ah- As soon as the troops are ready."
Tord doesn't meet Tom's eyes, feeling his face begin to burn.
"Alright.. Anything else of the matter sir?"
"N-No, nothing else.. You may leave."
Tord watches regretfully as Tom exits the office. Just as he begins to close the door, however, Tord stops him.
"Thomas?"
The male turns around and meets the leader's eyes.
"Thanks.."
He gives the Leader a soft smile, a small one but enough at least something else, rather than his usual emotionless expression
"Always at your service sir."
With that, he left, gently closing the door behind him and changing his smile to a straightened face in a split second as he faced passing soldiers.
Safely behind the closed door, Tord leans back in his swivel chair.
"Ahh.. God, Jehovah's Witness, what am I going to do with you..?"
He allows the blush he'd been fighting to creep up his cheeks and flush his face in red.
"Christ, hva er galt med meg?"
