WE HAD ALL MADE PLANS to meet at my apartment at 6:00 once I shared that I lived alone. Exchanging numbers, I hurridly met up with my driver out front and he quietly drove me back to the apartment. I guess you could say the first day was rather successful. It did help I was already an A-lister simply due to my cranky old math teacher forcing me into that one seat next to Tao, so in some way, I have to give a little credit to her. I didn't know what to expect though. The girls seemed so well adjusted to each other already, I felt so out of place near them. I didn't know what to say most times and just they ended up agreeing in their weird conversations that jumped from topic to topic in the span of 20 seconds anyway.
But again, it was already my first day. If I was hoping for an experience like my school back in New York, I should've just gone to a public school. Probably because it was the closest I'd get to the gossiping crackheads of my old school.
Thankfully, I didn't have any homework so I could enjoy the afternoon until the girls arrived. Which left me to do one thing I'm not the proudest to admit.
Play Minecraft.
Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with Minecraft, but coming from my world it's very out of place to be doing so. I tried to stop, and focus on school. But then I'd find myself playing some stupid game on a stupid server till 2 AM in the morning again. That shit was addicting! Grabbing a glass of juice from the fridge, I situated myself onto the kitchen counter where my laptop and mouse was set out. I should really invest in a gaming pc...imagine how fucking sick it would be to be able to get a decent ping for once! However, I did promise myself I'd stop at 5:30 to eat some dinner. It was a small dinner but if I planned on getting drunk, even the slightest, I couldn't be doing it on chips and spiked brownies.
The meal the cook had prepared was a little bit of baked pasta and coleslaw with cornbread. I swear the quickest way to my heart is through cinnamon buns and cornbread. I managed to end my little "gaming" session around 5:45 since I was in the midst of a game when 5:30 rolled around. Popping the meal in the microwave, I scrolled through social media till the timer sounded.
At exactly 6:00, my apartment speaker rang. Or dinged, whatever you call the sound it makes when the lady from the lobby wants to speak to me.
"Yes?" I questioned, pushing the green button.
"Ms. Laura, you have some visitors. 3 girls, Tao, Zia and...," I heard a voice in the background whisper Brandy, and cutting the lady off I requested for her to send them up.
When I pulled open the door to the 2 smiling faces and one completely bored Tao, my jaw almost dropped. "Holy crap, how many dresses did you guess bring?" I asked, staring at the suitcases each one of them was carrying.
