"You really want to train with me again?" I blinked as I stared at Team Guy outside of my office door. Tenten and Lee nodded eagerly. I looked at the clock that sat above my desk, it was already six at night.
"Since Guy's away on a mission with Naruto we want to show him something new when he comes back! And you're training from last time really helped!" Lee beamed, holding my hands in his as his eyes burned through me.
"You can train with anyone," I started to try to get myself out of this situation I had weaselled myself into yesterday.
"But you're the strongest shinobi, and we barely know your fighting styles so it'll be a lot harder against you!" Lee roared. I went to pull my hands away to decline but Lee held them tighter. "Please, Makoto!"
I let out a long sigh. "Fine." Tenten and Lee smiled widely as they pulled me out of the building and towards the training grounds. "What do you want to work on or learn?"
"I want to face you in the gentle fist," Neji said immediately. The three of us stopped to stare at him for a moment.
"Has that been on your mind since Hiashi and I sparred," I asked, taking my arms back.
"I have never seen an instance where Lord Hiashi has not won his fight, let alone not even able to land a hit." Neji said, his eyes focused hard on me.
I smirked, "alright." I nodded approvingly. "What about you Lee?"
"Taijutsu!" He instantly smiled, his eyes gleaming.
I laughed, "yeah, that's what you're good at." I bit my lips and puffed out my checks. He could not use ninjutsu or genjutsu – so anything to do with those aside of disabling or dodging were out. "I got it. When you fight, you're always turned onto about a seven. You never push yourself further without opening one of the gates or scale it down. I know you have a massive amount of stamina – but different moves require different control in order to be able to keep up in a fight. And I'll show you some new moves to kick Guy's ass when he's back."
"Yes, Makoto-sensei!" Lee bowed.
I bit my lip to stop my snap. "I guess that's better than lady." I turned to face Tenten, "and you?" She shrugged. "Besides for weapons and sealing – can you do anything else?"
"Genjutsu's okay," Tenten pondered. "Ninjutsu's good."
"Medical-Ninjutsu?" I inquired. Tenten began to pout and both Neji and Lee burst out laughing. "Well, let's work on chakra control." I sat down under the large oak, Tenten sitting in front of me, my back to the boys. I got into the meditation pose, but my hands were in front of me, palms stiff and pointed towards each other with a large gap between the two. "I want you to pretend like your body has one solid electric current flowing through it. In one hand, through the space in front of you, and out into the other hand and back into your body." A small uni-directional orb began to form in the gap. "Once you can hold this for five minutes we'll move on to the next step." I stood back up.
"How are you expecting to teach each of us different things?" Neji asked sceptically.
I formed the tiger seal in front of myself, "easy." The shadows in the trees began to grow, contorting into two human-like forms. They slowly solidified into identical copies of myself. "With my darkness clones."
"Shadow clones," Lee tried to correct.
"Darkness. These are better." I winked, the clones moving to stand beside me. I swung out my elbow and landed a blow to my side. "With any other clones – they dissipate after a single attack." I squeaked, the pain from my blow hitting myself now. "Darkness clones stay a lot longer, but whatever happens to them gets passed on to the user." The clones moved, one beside Lee and the other on the ground beside Tenten.
