"Wake up! You're not allowed to be late on your first day to a new school!" Mom shouted at I unwilling to leave my beloved bed.
It was just another normal day, for me at least. I'm Mike Jenning. Age 15 and I'm just another teenage boy who don't like school and have a habit of narrating my life. My normal routine is the same to other human which is bathing and etcetera.
"Are you excited for your first day at school?" Asked my mom.
"Meh,the usual" as i stuffed my pancake into my mouth forcing it to go in
"Come on... Where's the spirit? You supposed to be excited! You can meet new people, explore the town,go to the arcade if there's one though and who knows? Maybe new flavor of ice cream!"
That's my mom trying to cheer me up after moving to this shithole (pardon my language) to chase her dream to become an author. What an ungrateful child I am. I never met my father since birth so it's just me and my mom moving around. For the record, this is the seventh time we moved and this time it's New Orleans... Yaaaay *grunting noise*. This is the first time we moved here... Well every time is a first time unfortunately.
"Son, it's not all bad I promise this time we will stay. There's sandy beaches here :-D" Mom said as she was trying to get the mood cheered up.
"Mom, that's the sixth time you've said it! I'm tired of moving around!" As i slammed the table.
"We better go now or you'll be late" Mom trying to end the conversation like quitting a Nintendo game.
We got in the car and drove to the school. We made a little stop on our way to school at a gas station to fill up the gas of course. I bought some granola bar and the snack is surprisingly delicious. P.S I'm starting to think i have a bipolar.
"We're here mom said as she parked the car on the side of the road.
"Thanks for the ride mom and my apology for slamming the table" I said as I closed the door
"It's okay sweetheart" she said and drove off. Thus, disappear in the distance.
I must say for a school the structure is really eye catching with its modern look infused with a wall of red brick. Like other school I see lots of people. Sophomore, freshmen, junior, senior and VS-FREAKING-CO girl!! I hate them like I hate fortnite. As I said to myself in a dramatic Morgan Freeman's voice like I'm narrating a story. Well I do have a habit of doing it.
