Mutts luck

Few days later I, as usually, was walking back home from my work through the same park, and again Kakashi was sitting there with his woman friend. At the beginning I didn't even notice them, because I was deep in my thoughts, when I suddenly heard Kakashi calling out to me.

"Yo! Dork, come here."

I sighed hearing his command, but I walked towards him anyways.

"Hello, Kakashi. Do you need anything?" I decided to act nicely towards him, after all, it hasn't been that long since he took care of me and I definitely haven't forgotten this unexpected kindness that I got.

"That's nice of you to ask if I need anything, but yes, I do. I need you to be my dog for awhile."

My eyes widened at his request. For few seconds I couldn't even believe my ears. I thought that I might have misheard him. "What?! Can you repeat that?"

"I said I want you to act as a dog for awhile to entertain me and Yugao."

"You're not about to disobey again, are you?" Yugao glared at me.

I swallowed a lump of saliva seeing her intense stare that sent shivers down my spine. Honestly, I felt more afraid of her then I ever felt of Kakashi especially now since I got to know that he's not such a bad person.

"I guess I could play along for a bit..." I decided to just give in.

"Great! Then get down on your knees and bark for me." Kakashi ordered me.

I sighed again as I got down on my knees while starting to feel really uncomfortable doing so. At least it was lucky that this park doesn't usually have many people in it at this hour so, for now no one else apart from Kakashi and Yugao could see me. Once I was down on my knees, I took in some air before starting to make barking sounds. "Woof, woof." I tried saying that not to loudly, but just enough for them to hear me.

"Pff, I can barely hear you, pathetic mutt." Yugao snarled at me.

"Right. You should do that again but louder this time." Kakashi agreed with her.

I knew I had no other choice so, this time I barked louder. "Woof, woof!"

"That's better." Kakashi nodded approvingly before bending down to pick something from the ground. "Now, you see this stick?" He held the stick in front of him showing it to me before throwing it. "Fetch it!"

I furrowed my brows at that, but just getting a glance of Yugao, I decided not to say anything about it so, I just stood up and walked to pick up the stick, and brought it back.

"Since when do normal dogs walk like that?" Kakashi questioned me while giving of an expression that told me I'll have to do it again, but this time properly. "Let's try this again." Then he again threw the stick for me to get it.

I knew that my only option was to run on all fours to get the stick or I'll be here all day walking back and forth. Therefore, I just lowered myself back on the ground and started running like a dog to fetch that dumb stick. Once I reached the stick I took it in my arm and was about to head back when I started wandering if they might ask me to do this again if I didn't bring the stick properly like a dog. Therefore, I decided it was the best if I put it in my mouth from the beginning before I end up repeating all of this. I definitely felt humiliated by doing so but there was nothing else I could do about it. Once I brought back the stick, Kakashi took it from me.

"Well, that's a good boy." To my surprise it seemed like he smiled at that (though, it was hard to tell because of his mask) as he suddenly reached out to me and petted my head.

"Tch, why are you petting him? You know he is not a real dog. He doesn't need such effection." Yugao commentated.

"Hm? Yeah, he might not need it, but you should know better, Yugao, after all, I am too used to dealing with dogs so, it's in my nature to reward any of them when they do things right or punished appropriately when not. Even if it is a human pretending to be a dog, I still feel the need to treat him right, like I would an actual dog."

"Uh... Right... I guess it is something you would do. That's how you are." And with that Yugao backed down from arguing any further.

"Okay, tyke, you already did few things, but there is still some other stuff that dogs do. In such case how about I let you figure it out for yourself and do it?"

"You want me to come up with something else that a dog would do?"

"Yes. Wasn't I clear enough?" He asked not in a mean way but in almost questioning himself way, making it seem like a rhetorical question.

"Oh.. Okay then..." With that I fell quite and started to think to myself about what I should do.

'What else do dogs usually do? Hm.. Well, they lick a lot, I guess.. Wait?! Am I supposed to do that?!' I looked up at Kakashi to see if his face would give off any signs that he had that in mind, yet, as I did so, my heart started to beat faster and I started to feel my face slightly getting warmer, but even so I couldn't tell what Kakashi was thinking. 'I guess he did say to think on my own, but I have no idea what else dogs do that would be possible for me to do apart from that...'

That's when my train of thoughts were interrupted by Kakashi. "Have you finally come up with an idea?"

"Yeah, hurry it up. It's boring to wait for you to come up with something." Yugao added.

"Um.. I.. Maybe have an ide.."

"Good, then come on, do it." I was again interrupted by him.

I gulped realizing that the only thing I could do now is just do the thing I had in mind since I had no more time to think of another option.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Kakashi was getting impatient with me as I still kept stalling for time.

Knowing that I can't keep him waiting anymore I slowly got closer to Kakashi and put my arms on his leg while kneeling down. I used his legs as a supporter to get closer to Kakashi face just like I imagined a dog would do. Then, I brought my face closer to his and closing me eyes I stuck my tongue out slightly licking Kakashi's check just a little above his mask. After doing so, I quickly pushed myself off of him and lowered my head to hide my embarrassment. For few seconds both Kakashi and Yugao were super quite most likely due to them being shocked from my sudden action, but then Kakashi burst out laughing.

"Haha! I can't believe you ended up coming up with something like that and actually going through! Haha! I guess you do have some guts after all, dork! And to think that of all things that you could of thought, this is what you actually came up with! Haha! Gosh, I even gave you kind of a freebie so, you could have just begged like a doggy to let you go or something, but this? Haha! I just can't right now!" He was definitely laughing so hard that I could see him starting to cry from that.

Yugao also had started to laugh alongside Kakashi. "Haha! He is such a dumbass! I also can't believe that this wuss had enough courage to do such an outrageous thing! Haha!"

Hearing them both laughing at me made me feel even more unpleasant and ashamed for my actions. 'What the hell was going through my mind when I decided to do this? And why of all things did I have to choose to lick his face? Maybe I am stupid. I at least should have gone for his hand, if I already decided to go for licking, but no, somehow the only thing that I could come up on the spot was his face.. I just can't believe myself right now.. Kakashi's friend is right, I am an idiot...'

"Haha, you know, for doing such a thing and making me laugh so hard, I'll let you go now. You don't need to act as a dog anymore. Haha!" Kakashi released me from my 'duty' while still not being able to control his laughter.

I didn't wait for him to say anything else as I quickly stood up and started running back home wanting to hide away my embarrassment from the whole world.
