Hiro's POV

November 22, 2022, 12:00PM. The wind was blowing as the air of change began to set in, the sun was bright, and the air felt cold. I had no idea what I was getting myself into as I loaded up the game I had pre-ordered. All I knew was that I had to get away from the stresses of reality.

Zero Two's POV

November 22, 2022, 12:00PM. The pale grey walls of my room echoed a more boring life, a life with no excitement at all. I desired something new, something more than me and everything else I knew. Loading up the game I had pre-ordered was like opening up pandora's box, a risk that ignited my heart into action.

Hiro's POV

The usual flash of different colours filled my brain as I loaded into the world of Sword Art Online. This fantasy world, in which reality could not intrude on; it remained untouched from humanities greed and pollution, and separated itself from other games by immersing you in the NerveGear. A device from which you could experience Virtual Reality with one hundred per cent realism. From the smells to the touch, everything was real. Logging into the world, I found myself in the familiar field where I had left the Beta Test. Although, my items were missing apart from the beginner's gear,

Hiro: Must be because they wanted everyone to have the same start. It would raise a lot of questions if the beta testers had all the best gear. I thought, walking along the path only to find a wild boar snarling at me.

With a hue of bright blue, my trusty sword illuminated the ground below me as I thrust forward to the boar. With a couple more hits, the boar quickly vanished into the familiar particles that signalled death. It was then that I saw another figure in the fields. From what I could see, it looked like a girl.

Zero Two's POV

As per usual, the familiar colours and sounds of the NerveGear activating filled my brain and made my nerve endings quiver. Loading into the same field in which I had left from the Beta, I quickly began to see if anything had changed. Noticing that my items were gone, I grinned as I wondered what life would be like here.

Zero Two: "The only way to know if anything's changed is to find out by attacking something!" I declared, drawing my sword and unleashing a flurry of blows against a nearby wild wolf.

I laughed a little as I realized how much I didn't know about this world, and how much I wanted to explore. I looked to the sun, which felt so real; the warmth, the brightness, and the harsh stinging in my eyes that happened if I stared for too long. Along with the calm lakes and birds, I felt at ease with the world briefly. Turning around and running for a while, I soon found another person in the field.

Zero Two: Must be another Beta Tester, most people spawn at the town of beginnings, I thought slowly meandering to the figure; it looked like a boy from this distance, but I couldn't be sure until I got closer.

Hiro's POV

Walking closer to her, I could finally make out her appearance through the glare of the evening sun. She was magnificent. Her long, wavy, pink hair flailed around as the wind caught it in its grasp; her emerald green eyes pierced the background like arrows, and her figure was almost like that of a supermodel.

Hiro: Why is she here? In Sword Art Online of all places? I thought, walking ever closer to her.

Zero Two's POV

It seemed as though the boy was straining to get a good look at my appearance, and I giggled to myself as this was the first time where I felt excited about meeting anyone. From further away, the sun lit up his face and appearance, showing that he was decently muscular, his long hair was held up by a small pin, and his ocean blue eyes reflected the suns rays like a mirror. Meandering in his direction, I began to ponder,

Zero Two: I wonder why he's here? I'm sure he was a Beta Tester like me. I thought, moving closer than before.

Hiro's POV

I gazed at the beauty as she slowly meandered into my personal space. I was captivated by her presence, unable to move a muscle. Her eyes froze me like Medusa's eyes would to Hercules.

???: "Hello there, welcome to I see that you might be one of the Beta Testers," The pinkette asked, giving me a once over.

Hiro: "U-um, yes?" I replied, my face plastered against her chest.

Unknowingly to the girl, she had moved so that her chest was practically suffocating me. Noticing this, she smirked,

???: "You're a pervert," She jeered, circling her fingers around my shirt.

Hiro: "I-I am not!" I retorted, "You just walked so close, and I didn't move," I then continued, blushing slightly.

???: "You're cute, I think you're the one," She blurted, cruising past me.

Hiro: "What?" I asked, looking puzzled.

???: "You're the one who'll be my darling in this world," She then explained, before there was a flash of blue light.

I grimaced as I opened my eyes. Opening them, I made eye contact with the pinkette. However around me, possibly the everyone who had logged into Sword Art Online had been transported,

Man: "What's going on?" A man asked from behind me,

Woman: "I don't know, but I'm scared," Another woman exclaimed, clutching onto the man.

It was a few minutes before anything happened. From the sky, which had become a crimson red, a hooded figure emerged. It seemed to be the game master, judging by the clothing choice.

GM: "Greetings all, I am Akihiko Kaiba, the creator of Sword Art Online." the Game Master began, "I'm sure you're all aware of the fact that the log out button is missing from your menus," He then pointed out, "I assure you, this is not a bug. Rather, it is by design." He then explained, "You will all have to defeat all one hundred floors in Sword Art Online before you all can leave this game," Kaiba explained after a while, "You must defeat the Ruby Castle on the one-hundredth floor to beat the game. The revive option is also no longer available to players either. If you die in the game, it's game over for the rest of your life." Kaiba then revealed, to which uproar began to emerge, "The NerveGear will fry your brain, and kill you if you die in Sword Art Online. I hope to see that you reach the one-hundredth floor." Kaiba spoke, as he began to sink back into the sky,
