Hey guys! This is the second book in the Eclipse series. The first book is called "The Eclipse Mark" for any newcomers. This picks up one year after the ending of the first book, enjoy!
My eyes flash open and suddenly I'm in the middle of a forest.
Why does this place seem familiar?
I look around, this was Etheria. I was home, but it didn't feel like home.
Noah! Where is he? Where is Noah?
He was nowhere to be found, but a bundle of blankets was in my arms.
When did this get here?
I see a tiny baby, she seemed familiar but also a stranger. I couldn't put my finger on it.
"I see them!"
"Get the girl and kill the mother!"
Mother? They don't think... crap.
I run and run. I didn't know why, but I just couldn't leave this child. I felt protective of it. I had to get it to safety.I found a cave I could hide the child in. I quickly sealed it up, although there were two entrances.
I turn around right as a knife is run through me.
And then I wake up.I look over at the sleeping man beside me. He seemed peaceful, not me. Today could be the last day we have in this world. Thanatos said he was stuck here for five years. We had to believe the same would go for us.
I try to pack a few things, hoping that they would also make the journey with us, if not.
Dani and Breeze would be heartbroken if their child had to stay here.My eyes turn to my desk. There wasn't much on there except for some writing supplies and a book. The book I wrote.
My hands shake as I grab the book in my hands. These were the memories of Etheria I had. The good, the bad, the in-between.
I was stuck living in the past. Always remembering that smile he had as he was about to kill me.
He said that he was sorry.
How could he be?
He destroyed his life for what?
But I was related to him.
My mind always went back to that one question.
Could I be like him? Could I destroy everything?
No
Right?I shake myself out of my frenzy. I was better than this. I could go to Etheria, I could face him. I could.
I would have to.409 words
