It was 5:15 in the afternoon and it was the first time Sophie stood since she got back to her room after lunch. Drake left about an hour ago, but she still couldn't move. The nerves crippled her every muscle. Angela has been knocking on the door for hours, trying to get in. She pretended not to hear her. She finally opened the door to allow her agitated roommate in, smoke coming from her ears.

"Are you kidding me? What is your problem, Sophie? This is my room too!"

Sophie hugged herself and looked down at her shoes. "S-something happened..."

Angela looked at Sophie and crossed the room to hug her. "It's okay Soph. Tell me what happened."

Sophie and Angela sat on the side of Angela's bed and Sophie tried to figure out how to explain the situation.

"I- I saw someone. We made eye contact. He stepped closer, and I ran. I've been sitting here ever since. He only left our window an hour ago."

"Oh my god, Sophie, did you call public safety? That sounds sketchy as fuck."

"N-no! It was... magical."

Angela withdrawals her arm from Sophie's shoulders. "What?"

"We're in love. I just wasn't ready for it yet. The way he looks at me..." Sophie stares out the window, lost in thought.

"So you're over Drake Bell? Drake Bell out, stalker guy in?"

"But it was Drake Bell! He was meditating on the campus mall! He looked at me, I looked at him. It was eye sex. EYE SEX ANGELA! We're practically already married!"

Angela gets up from her bed and presses her fingers against her temples. "Sophie you have officially lost your mind."

"No! It really happened Angela! You'll see tonight! Literal sparks will fly. I'll take a picture of them for you. You can't deny our love! I've never felt anything more real than this!"

"So you don't think it's weird that Drake Bell stood outside our window for hours? Because that sounds like some weird murderer shit. He's like thirty."

Sophie looked longingly out the window. "We didn't talk much, but it was magical."

Angela finally grabbed her key and walked out the door. She couldn't handle Sophie today.

"It's true love" Sophie whispers to herself.

She grabs her key as well and starts heading out to Grape Fest, where Drake Bell will be playing.

Grape Fest was dull in comparison to Sophie's encounter with Drake Bell. She knew she would see him- it was inevitable. Would it be awkward? Romantic? Confusing? Would he sweep her off her feet?

God, she hoped it was all of the above. As long as it was something. Anything.

She stood by the stage, waiting for Drake Bell to arrive. He would make this interesting. Maybe something more than interesting. The night is just so mysterious, but the mystery is part of the fun.

Her classmates began to fill in around her, leaving little space to move. It was a sign. Drake Bell would be there any moment. Sophie hugged herself, nervous. The butterflies in her stomach began to flutter. Will he remember me?

Then the music began to play. It was time.

"I never thought that it'd be so simple but...."

Drake ran onto the stage, quickly grabbing the microphone. "Woah, not yet! Too soon!"

The crowd roared with excitement, but Sophie stood still. A true deer in headlights. She waited for their eyes to meet, but they didn't. Not yet. His eyes glanced over the audience, possibly looking for her orange shirt, with a pumpkin on the boob pocket.

Drake playfully bantered with his audience, looking slightly uninterested. His mind was somewhere else. But where?

And that's when it happened. He laughed at his own joke and his eyes swept the front row of students until his eyes caught on Sophie's orange shirt. He looked up, dumbfounded. She smirked, and he smirked back.

He started to address the audience, but she knew he was talking to her. "This one is for a special gal. You know who you are." He winks at her, and she melts.

"Nobody knows, what happened to foreverrrrrrrrrr...."
