It Happened Once in a Dream

Chapter 2

Izuku

Izuku woke up to a blinding light, as his eyes opened and adjusted he saw the bright sun. Well that figures, he thought to himself, rubbing his eyes gingerly. His eyes adjusted to the bright light and he began to notice something was off, but he couldn't put his finger on it... the air smelled too fresh, there wasn't enough bustle around him, and there were a surprising amount of birds chirping. 

Izuku allowed himself to sit up, really taking in his surroundings. His back ached, but he figured that's what he got from laying on grass. Wait... grass? Why the heck? How did I get here? Weren't we at-

His thoughts were interrupted by someone grunting. Izuku looked over to his side to find a familiar red and white haired male. Todoroki is here too? That's when he began to realize how absurd of a situation they were in... 

Izuku observed his 'friend', and the first thing he realized was that his clothes had changed. No longer was he in UA's required school uniform; he was in an odd uniform, something Izuku would never think to see Todoroki in. The sleeves were a bright white color that was slightly wrinkled but the fabric on his torso was a dark blue that was fastened with brass buckles and has a collar that covered his neck. On his shoulders were leather strips connected by a buckle, but his pants were similar to the UA uniforms. "Todoroki?" Izuku asked, warily.

"Yeah, Midoriya?" Todoroki sat up, rubbing his eyes gingerly. Izuku could practically see the gears rotating in his friend's brain, probably trying to gather his surroundings. "Where even are we?"

"I'm not entirely sure of that myself. All I remember is-" Izuku paused, the gears beginning to turn in his head. "We were attacked by what I can assume was a villain, but who knew what her true intentions were. It probably had something to do with how Bakagou treated her... but that's besides the point. As we got ready to fight the villain; who I could only assume is a female based on her voice; she then used her quirk on us. But what kind of quirk was it? It came from her body, but it didn't affect her appearance, so it can't be a mutation quirk and it had nothing to do with the elements. But what could have it been? Maybe it's some sort of transportation quirk, seeing that we, well, we transported-"

"Midoriya?" Todoroki waved his hand in front of Izuku's face, hoping to get his attention. "Earth to Midoriya. You still here with us?"

"O-oh, yeah. Yeah, sorry about that. Where'd you get that outfit?"

Todoroki looked down at himself, gingerly grabbing at his shirt. "Where the hell..."

"Yeah, I'm not sure either," Izuku admitted, looking around once again at his surroundings. "Where even are we?"

Todoroki looked at Izuku, his eyes widening, "You've got different clothes too, Midoriya."

Izuku looked down at himself, realizing that he had a plain green shirt on with white sleeves and a baggy pair of trousers. But what was strange was that he had somehow kept his bright red high tops. "Huh, I guess so. But, this makes no sense! How is this even possible? Where are we?" He started to hyperventilate as he realized just how perplexing this situation was.

"Midoriya, calm down. This is no time to freak out."

"Y-you're right, sorry Todoroki." Izuku finally found the means to stand up, black dots flashing in his eyes. Up too fast he complained. Izuku held a hand out to Todoroki, helping the two-colored hair male up onto his feet. As Izuku really started to gather his surroundings, he came to the astounding conclusion that they were somewhere in a forest. But, there's no forests near UA. How far could have those villains dragged us?! And there was something off about this forestry, it almost seemed too calm for it to be somewhere close to home. There wasn't any sign of cultivation around them, no litter, no random camp sites. "I don't think we're very close to UA."

"Great deduction skills, Sherlock," a harsh, but recognizable voice said behind the pair. Izuku's eyes widened, as he turned around to the source of the voice... it was Bakagou.

A/N Guess who's back from the dead! Sorry about the late update, life has been super busy and I was plagued with writer's block... so yeah! Whoopdee do! Anyways, I'm back, so yay. Everyone have a Plus Ultra Day! (I give up at Author's Notes XD)
