Chapter 25: Tricky Responses

Liz's Pov:
I groan softly as I blink my eyes quickly to adjust to the light. I put my hand on my forehead as I slowly sit up and look around me. "Where am I?" I mumbled, looking around. I shivered as I felt a sudden coldness touch my skin. I look down to see a cold metal floor then, I look up to see an entire room around me covered in metal. "Where am I?" I mumbled again, slightly scared. The group and I were in the forest, one minute and then, the next minute we were sucked in by that blue vortex. Wait. Where are the others? I panic slightly and I look around me quickly only to see their unconscious bodies near me on the floor. "Guys? Wake up..." I whispered as I slowly move them a little with my foot. "Five more minutes..." Purple mumbled as he felt my foot against his shoulder. "Guys? Wake up, this is urgent..." I spoke, a little louder. Yet, no one responded as their eyes continued to be shut and their bodies refused to get up from the spot they were in. I sigh loudly and clear my throat quickly before inhaling deeply. "Guys! Wake up!" I yell out after exhaling. The others woke up almost immediately. Some flinched as they sat up, others screamed and quickly got up on their two feet. I roll my eyes then, continue to focus my attention on them. "Liz? Where are we?" Violet asked, rubbing the back of her head. "I don't know, either. All I remember is that we were sucked into a blue vortex." I explained, crossing my arms. I don't remember any building of this type to be located anywhere in this city. I look back at the others only for my eyes to land on Daniel and ExplodingTNT.

Why am I so focused on those two? Daniel lent out a hand for TNT as he noticed the mouse hybrid was still on the ground. TNT smiled and took his hand as they got up. Why are they acting the way they do? Did they already discover their past? Ugh, so many questions with zero answers. "Everyone! Take out your weapons and be on guard!" I ordered, summoning my electric sword. The others nodded and summoned their elemental weapons as they got into a defensive pose. We heard a giggle echo throughout the metallic walls.

"Show yourself, fiend!" I yelled out as we stood together in a circle. Our backs against one another and our weapons held tightly in hand. The giggling continued as the echoes grew louder. "So, glad to see everyone at the party." A person said and we look in the direction of the voice. It was Zero! "There you are!" I yelled out as I charged at her with my electric sword in the air. I jumped up and slammed my sword against...the floor. "Eh?" I mumbled, noting there wasn't any blood dripping from above me.

"Is violence really your answer to everything, oh sweet little Liz?" Zero mockingly asked. "What the...?" I mumbled under my breath as I walked back. Daniel held me by my shoulders as I was close enough to the group once again. "I'm just a hologram, for now. Perhaps, you will beat me in the end or not. Who knows but, please, take a seat." Zero spoke, snapping her fingers. We were suddenly sat by chairs that appeared out of nowhere. "Zero! What do you want?" Pink asked, suddenly. "Can I not drop in and say my greetings toward you all?" She asked, her back facing us.

She snapped her fingers once again as she chuckled softly. Wires suddenly tied us against the chair as to not stand up and attack whatever. "Zero, tell the truth..." The words above TNT's head read. "I will in due time, my little mouse." Zero replied, how did she read that? She's not even facing us? I look at TNT with a confused glare, he noticed me and flinched as he looked away quickly. "You know, I have some other friends to keep you company." She spoke as she made multiple screens appear around her.

She tapped on something and we heard two chairs fall to the ground near us. My eyes were shut tight as I heard the hard impact against the ground. I opened one of my eyes and I gasp softly at what I saw. I see Ender and Seth on the ground, now unconscious, with wires tied around them tightly. "Ender...Seth...?" I whispered. "What do you want, Zero! Answer the damn question!" Violet yelled out, eyes shut tight. "You mustn't use those words in front of kids, little Violet." Zero responded, looking at Purple as she said that.

She tapped on something yet again and this time she showed a screen. "Hexa!" The words exclaimed as TNT made a squeak. I look at the screen to see Hexa tied up with wires not only around her but, hooked up on her. She had wires hooked up on her forehead as she remained unconscious, pale, and almost dead-looking. "What did you do to her?" The words yelled as TNT shot a glare at Zero. "Oh, nothing harmful yet. I am merely exporting important info from her brain to use." Zero explained, a smirk appearing on her face. "You sicko..." I mumbled, angrily.

"Whatever, I know you want to save her. So, why don't you try to do that just that? Come and save her." Zero mocked as she tapped on something on her screen. I felt the wires slowly remove themselves from my body as we were released from the chairs. "Alright team, let's do this!" I exclaimed, summoning my weapon again. "Wait-" Daniel was about to speak until Zero interrupted him. "After, you escape from my little 'trap and escape' rooms!" Zero exclaimed as she tapped on a button on her screen. The floor suddenly opened and we were all falling once again.

Falling...and...falling...and...falling...
