Mike's POV

"Will's got a crush," Lucas teased, as Will went a light red.
"I do not,"
"Yes you dooooo,"
I grinned as he buried himself in his arms, groaning.
"Come on, who is she?" I asked him,
"Not you too,"
"Lemme guess, Jenny? Penelope? Amanda? Don't tell me it's Amanda, she's a bitch," Dustin suggested, as Will shook his head.
"I don't have a crush on any girl,"
"But you do have a crush, right?" Max said, as she sat next to us.
"No one asked you, Max," I groaned, as she threw a dark glance at me.
"Whatever,"
Will sighed in exasperation.
"Yeah, just throw around guesses, you're not going to get it."
"So you do like someone!" Max exclaimed, leaning towards Will.
"Byers is in lo-o-ve," Lucas teased, as he went a darker red.
"It's okay, man, we won't judge you or anything," Dustin assured, as Will shook his head.
"I'm not saying,"
Class began, interrupting our teasing session. Will refused to make eye contact with any of us, which I deemed reasonable.
Lucas, Dustin and Max kept hinting at the idea the rest of the day, whilst I kept the harassment at low.
"They're just having fun," I assured him, as the pair of us left together.
"I know, it's just.."
"It's what?"
"Nothing."
"What is it? Are they right? Do you like someone?"
Will glanced away from me, as I smirked.
"Don't start," he warned, as I chuckled.
"In that case... Just know whoever it is, we support you. You're our friend, Will, and you shouldn't need to worry about anything."
Will's cheeks went a light red, a feeling of elation growing in him.
"Thanks, Mike,"

Will's POV

I'm not mad at them. I'm just frustrated. Frustrated that they're right. I do like someone, someone I'm not supposed to.

Opening the door, I slid out of Bob's car for he was the one to drive me to school.
"Have a good day at school!" he added, concluding our conversation.
I smiled at him, and with a wave I was off to class. The conversation didn't leave my mind, though.
Stand up to my fears, huh?

"Slumber party!" Dustin cried, as we gathered in our classroom.
"What?" I asked, chuckling as I sat in my seat.
Lucas and Mike were discussing the idea, Max sitting beside us simply listening.
"Slumber party. Tomorrow. Mike's house."
"What?" Mike interrupted, "I didn't agree to this. Why mine?"
"You literally have a fort in your basement. Of course we're going to yours. Also I told my mom that I'm going, so you don't really have a choice,"
"Yeah, whatever," he responded, as Lucas and Max snickered.
"Yes," Dustin whispered in celebration to me, as I grinned.
"I'll ask my mom about it," I laughed, as Mike sighed.
"Well," he started, "guess I don't have a say,"
"Nope," Lucas assured.

Max excluded herself from the party for reasons she refused to tell, leaving Dustin and Lucas disappointed. Mike, though, was seemingly overjoyed.
The rest of the day carried out as usual. Lucas and Dustin would flirt with Max, Mike and I would hang behind.
I didn't particularly mind, though. Any opportunity to hang out with Mike was one I was willing to take.

As usual, the day concluded. Jonathan picked me up from school, and soon enough we were homeward bound. Since the incident, I hadn't been allowed to ride home alone, and I was completely accustomed to this idea.
Jonathan asked me about school, and we were chatting regularly until we got home.

Bob and mom were sat in the living room, talking. When both Jonathan and I entered, they immediately turned their attention to us.

"Hey, Will, Jonathan. How was school, guys?" she asked, standing from her spot and giving me a small hug. Doing the same with Jonathan, she then continued towards the stove.
"The usual," I responded, setting my school bag down on the ground.
"Nothing exciting?"
"Nope," the pair of us responded in unison, as Bob laughed.
"But," I continued, "The party's getting together tomorrow for a sleepover: at Mike's house."
"And you wouldn't want to go to that, would you?" Mom teased, "you must really want to stay home with us,"
I laughed, "Not exactly,"
"No? What do you mean no, don't you want to hang out with your dear old mom?"
She ruffled my hair as the both of us shared a chuckle.
"Yes, sweetheart, you can go. Just be sure to stay safe and with someone at all times, and be home the next day by noon."
I nodded excitedly.
"Thanks, mom,"

After class, the four of us biked to Mike's house the fastest we could.
"Hey, Mrs. Wheeler," I greeted with a smile, as we entered his house.
"Will, hi. How're you doing?"
"Good," I responded, as Mike motioned for us to follow him. Down the stairs, into the basement. Dustin and Lucas crashed into his sofa, while I continued to follow Mike towards our DnD table.
"Should we begin?" he asked, when to our surprise Dustin shook his head.
"Maybe we could try something else. We could watch a movie... or something."
"Don't you want to play DnD?"
"Well, yeah, but you know. We always play, and it wouldn't hurt to try something else out."
"I agree," Lucas added, "Besides, there's this new movie I'd heard of,"
I looked towards Mike as he shrugged in answer.
"Come onnnnn... we can play tomorrow,"
"Please, Mike?"
"Fine," Mike sighed, understanding that they wouldn't take no as response.
Though I shared a similar disappointment to Mike's, I went along with their idea anyhow.

Mike's POV

Did I want to play DnD? No. Well, not really.
The truth was that I wanted to take a break. Though, I also didn't want to. Will enjoys playing, and it's for him I do. He's been struggling, and I want nothing more than to help him through it.

I don't want to update this anymore
