BEHIND THE MASK

Chapter 1

Beep beep beep beep
Ugh what's that's sound it's so annoying, I use my hands to search for where it's coming from and find it coming from my alarm clock, so i just picked it and threw it on the floor.

"Tequila I hope that's not ur alarm clock you threw because I'm done buying you new alarm clocks, and don't forget you have work"

Just the word WORK made me rise up with the speed of lightning and rushed to my bathroom to take my bath and do the necessities. Ok you guys may want to know who i am, my name is Tequila Adams i'm 23 yrs old and i'm an independent young lady just trying to live life to the fullest and this is the story of how i died, ha got you just kidding.

  When i'm done i had my breakfast and left for work but not before goodbye hug to my bestie Kira. At the entrance of the company i work at i kept praying that my boss Ace had not arrived before me unless i'm getting fired for real today. As i made it into the company i saw Kristy Ace's personal assistant standing arms crossed glaring at me.

"Your late" she snarled at me, if not for her human like features i would she is a banshee with too much makeup out to get me.

"Are you done staring or are you going to start working" she snapped.

" Wow chill" i muttered and hurriedly walked pass her in case she heard me.

20 minutes later Mr Ace walked pass my desk not before greeting him but he didn't even reply such a ray of sunshine. Minutes later one of the employees came to tell me that i Mr Ace would like to see me.

On my way there i couldn't help but be nervous and think that snitch Kristy reported that i was late to work again, when i was close to his door i heard yelling and cries, ok i wasn't expecting that, i then knocked on the door when i heard a come in i entered.

"You called sir" i said

"Yes, from now on you will be my personal assistant because Kristy here sold our project ideas to another company" he told me.

"Oh" i said.

"No you can't do this to me, i'm sorry please forgive me" Kristy pleaded.

" The deed is already done, now i'm giving you 10mins to pack your things and leave this company immediately" Mr Ace said.

" But...."

" I'm sorry Kristy but you have to leave" i said trying to usher her out, but she pushed me.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH ME BITCH, I MAYBE FIRED BUT I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU, THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING TEQUILA ADAMS, I WILL BE BACK" she yelled and walked out.

" Ok she sounds like a villian from crazy town" i said, then i heard throat clearing. Oh my God i forgot i'm still in Mr Ace's office.

"I'm sorry sir" i said.

"Just leave and transfer your things to Kristy ex office" he told me.

" Aye Aye sir, I mean Yes sir" i said.

"Leave" he said, after i left i went and transferred my stuff to my new office and started working immediately.

Finally i'm done with work and on my way home i can't wait to break the news to Kira. As i opened the door i hear the sound of the television that means Kira is there, so i made my way over to the living room slowly to scare her.

"BOO" i screamed.

"Haha nice try" she said not even scared.

"Your not scared, how?" I asked.

"Your not exactly graceful with your feet you know" she said making me look down at my feet staring at my heels and feeling stupid for not taking it off.

"Ugh" i groan slumping on the couch muttering how stupid i was.

"Why are you back so late today" she asked making me cheer up remembering my promotion. I told her everything that happened at work today making her squeal non stop.

"Your such a lucky chick, momma's proud of you, congratulations" she squealed.

"Thank you" i said smiling.

"Enough about me, So how was your day" i asked.

"Cool as usual" she said, Kira is a baker and chef and she owns her own bakery and restaurant, and she is a box of crazy but cool ideas. And did i mention that she combined her restaurant and bakery in a weird but awesome way that when you enter instead you get blown away by awe.

We spent the rest of the night watching videos on Netflix till we slept off.
