Meredith POV
                  Today I'm on Addison Montgomery's service. Which is good even though she was married to my ex-boyfriend doctor Derick Shepard. Derick didn't tell me he was married till Addison came to Seattle Grace. The first thing Addison said to me was "you must be the woman sleeping with my husband." So yeah, at first, we didn't get along well. I was hurt by Derick, but I was more hurt for her than for what he did to me, especially after I found out the whole story. Don't get me wrong, I understand why he was upset, but he should have stayed and tried to fix their marriage. But nope he just left his wife whom he was married to for 10 years. He came here and I became his rebound/love. I wasn't so sure what it was. He was supposed to be a one-night stand then he was my boss who I grew to love. His stupid McDreamy smile made me love him. Addison and I didn't talk much besides work. Derick went back to her, but she wasn't happy, everyone could see it. I caught Derick cheating with another woman the night of the prom. I felt the need to tell Addison, so I went up there and said, "Addison can I talk to you?" In a serious tone. "Sure Grey" she said curious and confused. " Addison, I'm sorry that I have to tell you this, but I just walked in on Derick um... sleeping with another woman." "That asshole, Whatever I knew he would sometime. I just thought it would be with um well you know." " Yeah, I do... And no, it wasn't, once he decided to be with you, I moved on. I don't want to be any more of a homewrecker. I just want to do my job" I said.

                 "I get that also thanks for telling me. I am just going to give him the already signed divorce papers." "I am sorry that it ended that way. I am here for you if you need me or just want to go to the bar get drunk and talk about anything." " It's fine honestly, I'm surprisingly not upset, a little mad but I saw it coming. I wasn't really happy anymore, and if he didn't do this, I would have eventually ended it, or he would of." That was the start of something special. We began understanding each other more, but we still don't talk a lot though.

POV an hour later*

                I go to Addie, and when I see her in the nursery holding a crying baby singing to calm her down, I get a big smile on my face. "Hi Meredith." She said smiling. I come all the way into the room and say "hey". "I'm assuming you saw me singing?" Addison replies. "Yep, and you have beautiful voice by the way." "Thank you!" she says blushing. "No problem, so what's on the list for today so far." "Well today so far has been pretty quiet, but now that I have said that it probably won't be much longer." "Well, I hope not." I say chuckling a little.
