Authors Note~~~
Welcome to my story!! I just want a bit of a disclaimer this story will be about a teenager and an adult man in a romantic relationship. It is illegal for teenagers and adults above an age to have sexual relationships. This is a work of fiction set in a different time. That aside I am writing a couple chapters at a time so I won't have an upload schedule yet so please stay tuned.

Prologue

In my short 17 years I've been running for over half those years.

My orphanage burnt down when I was 7 years old leaving me and a few other kids as survivors.

I remember crawling out of the building and seeing one of the older girls who decided to stay and work for the orphanage once she was too old to live there. I saw her like a big sister who really cared for me. I tried tugging her arm to get her to get up.

"Aelia you must never stop running. They can never find you." It was hard to hear her due to her croaking voice. "Come on Haylee we can make it together." She didn't respond. Looking around I noticed more flames around me.

At 7 I had to make the decision to walk away from the one person I loved to save myself. Her words stuck with me for years not knowing who they was and why were they looking for me.

On the night of my 10th year I was in a cave struggling to make fire and I discovered my powers. I was so upset and angry for having to live alone and on the run I couldn't even make fire to cook the small rabbit I caught and skinned.

Sitting against the cave wall I just closed my eyes and picture the warmth and oranges and yellows of the flame. I then started to feel the heat in my palms and before I could really understand what was happening I looked down to see my finger tips sparking a bit and little flames.

The next seven years I learned different things about myself and all the powers I had. It made my nomadic life a bit easier. I had perfected the art of stealth until today.

I had never seen wolves so large there was 4 of them running together through the trees. I couldn't help but watch them as I hoped tree to tree above.

The largest of them all stopped and began to smell the air. He found me right away making eyes contact he let out a howl that sent shivers down my spin.

The others began to back away watching him start to climb the tree. I started to flee.

I wasn't watching my steps being a little to confident in my skills I missed a branch and my foot slipped. I didn't even have time to reach or grab for a branch.

I heard a few loud cracks and the breath leaving my lungs when I hit the ground. Everything then went black.
