Tin found himself inside a moving car at the backseat, with two men in front: the driver and the passenger. The scenes were a little hazy and blurred. Again, he's aware he is inside his dream. He was lucid dreaming. It was a steady ride, the car wasn't moving too fast, nor too slow. He couldn't make of anything outside the window, it was just pitch black.
All of a sudden, something hit them. It created a loud crashing sound, metals clashing, tires screeching, solid thuds left and right, and the loud sound of the airbags activating. Their car flipped in the air, and as it turned and shook rapidly their bodies hit the interiors of the car in different directions.
Then it came to a full stop. The car was flipped to its side, with the driver's end on the ground. He watched the two men in front of the car, still trying to make out of their identity.
Until Can spoke, groaning in pain. Tin's heart stopped, as he recognized his voice. His vision was still blurred, but he was sure of Can's voice.
"P'..." He cried, reaching the man on the driver's seat. He was stuck on his seatbelt and the now deflated airbag. He moaned in pain again. He tried again, reaching his hand to the driver seat, blood dripping from his head and arms.
"P'Sing... Are you all alright? P'...." Can cried. But the other person was not responding.
It just dawned on Tin that he was witnessing another death omen in his dream. And it involved Can with his older brother dying in a car accident.
Tin wanted to reach out to Can but for some reason, watching and hearing Can crying made him immobile. The scenes were still blurry, his heartbeat raced inside his chest as a dark crimson light slowly enveloped his vision.
He tried to scream and call Can's name before he lost grip of his dream and finally woke up to a cold somber morning in his room.
He was sweating in his bed, he clung to his t-shirt near where the heart is on his chest as if trying to squeeze it off with the pain. He looked out the window and saw the heavy rain pouring hard. He knew everything was just a dream, but for some reason, he felt like his whole body was sore.
That day was too difficult for Tin to deal with. He wanted to tell Can about his dream, but he remembered how Can does not believe him about his nightmares. And he thought that the unexpected kiss on the lips yesterday just made it even worse for both of them.
Either way, he still wrote about it in his journal. That afternoon, as expected, Can did not come to see Tin. He felt a little heartbroken, and slowly feeling hopeless that Can would ever want to see him again. That afternoon until the night came, Tin was just by his lonely window, staring the sky and the sycamore tree, slowly slipping back to his dark depressed state.
"Hey Doc, I thought you were on leave?" The nurse asked Can when he saw the young doctor arrive at the hospital staff locker area.
"Yeah, I just came to get a few things in my locker. I left my iPad there yesterday." Can answered.
"Is it true that you will be transferring to Bangkok Hospital?" The nurse asked again. Can only replied with a timid smile.
"That was very sudden, doc. I thought you liked it here." He said.
"I do like it in here, in fact, I like it very much it's already hurting me having to leave." He replied.
"Oh, before I forget." The nurse said, as he went to get his bag and took something inside. "Your patient Tin wanted to give you this."
"He said he thought you're not gonna come see him anymore, he told me this was his assignment from you." He handed Can the notebook.
Can remembered he gave it to Tin when they first met. He completely forgot about it. He was hesitant at first to take it.
