Carly took Alex in her office and sat him down. She sat on her mahogany desk and looked at him. She handed him a stack of papers. Each was fallen soldiers that were under her command. She looked at Alex and placed the stack down. Carly stood up and walked toward her window.

" How many..." she said mumbling.

" What was that ?" Alex replied.

" How many men have died because of me?" she said. Alex went to her and had his hand on her shoulder.

" You tried your best, but now we need to think about what we're gonna do." Carly looked at him and saw a rolled up paper on his other arm. She grabbed it and opened the paper. She saw the battle plans for the next attack. Carly skimmed and scanned through it until she realized that it was a suicidal mission.

" There is no way I'm letting them through there, the fortress is heavily protected by my brother's protection spell," Carly said. Alex was displeased with her comment.

" We have to move, she has already conquered most of the over-realm and much of the under-realm."

" But my men are not replaceable, I think we need to have a meeting to discuss the battle plans Alex, " Carly said sharply. Alex quietly agreed and left the room.

Once night hit, Carly went back to her house and changed into her pajamas. She went to bed but couldn't sleep. All she could think about was that boy, Lajos. He was such a weak boy. Before she closed her eyes, there was a knock at the window. She slowly pulled out her scythe and kept herself hidden. A black figure with wings opened her window and crawled in. It was going through every room and saw her bed. Carly quietly snarled and tightened her grip. When the figure had its back turned, she pounced on him and was ready to attack. She swung the scythe and was about to collect his soul until it spoke.

" W-wait, it's me!" it said. Carly didn't want this thing to escape, so she grabbed its arm and turned the lights on.

" Lajos, just what the hell are you doing here?" Carly said sharply.

" I live here." He said cheerfully. Carly was confused. She escorted him to the dining room and poured him a cup of Phoenix tea. It was a truth-teller tea and she wanted to know what was his true intention. Lajos drank tea and started to babble on about his life. Something that was irrelevant to Carly. She asked him a question about why he came here. His reply made her feel pity:

" I live nowhere here in the under and over-realm. I have no home to go to." Carly thought long to even let this man stay. She didn't trust him one bit. Carly took him to the living room and threw him a blanket.

" You'll be sleeping here till I find out what's really going on." She told Lajos as she turned the lights off. Lajos plopped himself on the couch and wrapped himself.

Saturday, early morning. Lajos has just woken up and headed into the bathroom. He brought in his toothbrush, toothpaste, and an extra change of clothes. He went and got himself ready for the day with Carly. While he changed his pants, Carly walked in with only a shirt. Carly was really tired and was wondering where the sound in her bathroom was. She looked at Lajos and was realizing what predicament they were in. Carly quickly got out and slammed the door in embarrassment. She blushed so hard she ended up matching her lower hair color red.

" Sorry I didn't know it was you changing! " She exclaimed. Lajos was reassuring her not to worry, but Carly left before he could finish his sentence. Lajos just kept on doing his business and Carly did hers. Both came out getting ready to eat breakfast.

" What do you want to eat? " Carly asked.

" I want an egg, bacon, and toast," He said cheerfully. Carly pulled out the pan and cracked four eggs and bacon strips. Lajos looked through the fridge and found some milk and orange juice. Once breakfast was ready, she grabbed a bowl of cereal and sat on the chair. Carly was looking at Lajos. She asked herself how and why he truly came here. Once the bowl was clean, she immediately started interrogating him.
