What Lies Within

Chapter Three

"Mom, has dad ever loved me? I mean when you gave birth to me was he happy at all?"

"Of course your dad loves you sweety, he's just.. not the best at showing it"

"Okay mom, because i made him a surprise and I'm not sure if he's going to be happy"

"What surprise? Let me see it and I'll tell you if he'll like it or not"

"Well, our teacher told us that offering gifts to the people that are mad at us is the best way to make them forgive us, so I thought of daddy. I made him an album, but since we don't have any photos together I took photos of him while he was cutting the wood, and I glued them with ours."

"Faith my sweet daughter..your father is not mad at you do you don't have to do any of that. Plus you know he doesn't like to take photos nor family albums.. So I don't think he would like it."

"Okay..Mom.."

"Don't be sad baby.. Today is your birthday. Now tell me what does my little Faith wants for her birthday?"

"I don't want anything mom, I just want my father to love me.."

"What are you doing here little kid ! I told you to bring me the woods, didn't I ?!"
