I know, I mentally cringe everytime someone mentions the Wattys too. *cue deep breath*
I know there are many, many talented writers here on Wattpad, and I know that they don't get half the credit they have worked so hard for. You mayn't have won this year, you may never win the Wattys. But let me remind you: there are many other ways for your story to be read by people all around the world. Whatever you do, do not give up. I have a quote on my home screen and it reads, Don't Complain, Just Work Harder. God has given you the talent and skill with words, and I know you are seen by Him. He knows how hard you work. Remind yourself of your goal. My goal was to win the Wattys. I didn't. That's alright for three reasons.
1. There's next year
2. Winning the Wattys doesn't define me
3. God has a plan, I need to trust Him, even if that plan doesn't include mine
You have a talent, and I know you will be able to use it for God's glory one day, until then, don't give up.
