The falsities of Hydra, drilled into my brain for 12 years. Everything about history, straight down to the beginning of Hydra was fabricated to make sure we would be loyal to their cause. History according to them was that everyone wanted to stop them, make sure science doesn't advance.
What a load of shit.
I wasn't like everyone else though. Hydra was obsessed with the Super Solider Serum but once they got that, it was all super powers, and I was one of them. Their thought process was, experiment on the kids, 'they won't betray us' . Well Hydra wasn't wrong but, they didn't expect it to work. At age 8 I was injected with some sort of Tesseract based Super solider serum, the abilities were different. I was gifted with the ability of Telekinesis and matter bending.
Hydra also trained children from a young age, I was always learning but I always had a larger work load. After 4 years of training I had ample experience with my abilities.I was taught many other skills. We learned basic combat and medical training. I also learned Morse code.
Hydra was also very brutal. Even one sigh of weakness meant you weren't fit for their ranks. I lost track of how many people I called friends that died. If you cried, if you slept in, if you took to long. The smallest things got you a bullet in the head.
At the base we were taught to have no emotion when we pulled the trigger, not cry when our friend died, never have sympathy, even when one of your own was begging. Hydra had its way of conditioning, sweep the mind clean. That was used on the ones who resisted.
I was instructed to follow around higher ranking officers. I vividly remember going in a winters day, December 16 1991. I remember the exact words "Longing, Rusted, Furnace, Daybreak, Seventeen, Benign, Nine, Homecoming, One, Freight Car.' They activated the Winter Soldier. I never learned of the mission, only the person acting it out, a former Howling Commando, James Buchanan Barnes, he was a sergeant.Now I feel bad for him but back then I thought he volunteered, to further science.
My experiences with Hydra are sickening now, it was like being hand-fed lies for every meal. But thankfully at the age of 12, the hydra base I was at, was raided by S.H.I.E.L.D, they took only a few kids, I was lucky to be one.
