Steady Breathing.
The room was even darker than when I had fallen asleep as I woke. Taylor was still sleeping next to me, her cute little face containing a small grin. I smiled at her and picked up my phone from the nightstand, 2:50. Ugh.
I laid on the bed- listening to Taylor’s steady breaths whilst looking up at the blank ceiling.
“It’s no big deal.”
“Umm… You dropped this when you fell.”

Texting during class? I always thought you were too good of a student for that... haha. ~Brett
Meet me inside? ~Brett
“Nervous are we?”
“We’ll make a run for it.”
“And you were trying to convince me that you aren’t a goody-two-shoes.”
“Why, we are breaking out of jail my dear.”
“Oh come on… live a little.”
“Uhh… less tears.”
“Stop laughing. It’s not funny.”
“You know you don’t need an invitation, right?”
“This is going to sound… stupid, but I want... since we bumped into each other… I want to get to know you.”
“You are honestly like an unmasked mystery.”
“We will start off easy and typical.”
“... You deserve a happy memory.”
“Aren’t you hot in that sweatshirt? It’s like eighty-one degrees out.”
“Don’t ruin my dreams!”
“I suggest you stop now.”
“You need help there?”
“Ashley what are you doing?”
“Why are you lying to me?”
“Now I’m going to ask again- where are you going?”
“Oh my God- Ash why is there a bruise on your face?”
“Ash please.”
“Get in my damn car.”
“Yes you can.”
“Alright- fine. You leave me no choice.”
“Stay.”
“Will you please meet me in the backyard?”
“It was downpouring last night.”
“Oh my goodness- two hours. You could have- Ashley. You could have-”
“Ashley, would you stop lying to me?”
“Did you get that bruise before or after you were in the hospital?”
“You know you are staying here whether you like it or not.”
“She is very beautiful.”
“You can’t just kick her to the streets. She’s a good girl Mom. Good grades. Good attitude. Good personality. She’s perfect okay…”
