At the behest of her parents, Romessa, an 18 year old Moroccan raised in America, finds herself in Dortmund the summer before she's due to start University—on a school trip with 15 of her classmates. Too uninterested to explore the country's history and too introverted to socialize with her peers, she ends up visiting the Reus household for dinner one Friday night—Manuela Reus, her father's stepsister, has invited her.
At the same time, Marco Reus finds his world upside down and his reputation tarnished after a drunken mistake leads to him committing an inexcusable act at a post-season celebration. With his fiancée ignoring him, his friends ostracizing him, and the national team leaving him off of the roster, Marco finds himself extremely lonely and unstable, with nothing better to do on a Friday night than to go to dinner at his parents' house.
It is there in which he meets Romessa—and as the two gradually end up finding more ways to spend time with one another, they form an intimate and surreptitious affair. With the end of summer approaching and Marco's reputation looming overhead, the two are forced to learn to love and take risks in ways they never thought were possible.

I can't promise this one will be amazing given I'm about 4 years off regarding my football knowledge and it's been so long since I've written anything, but I miss these days of writing and I wanted to get back into it!
