Sunset kiss

I finished applying sunscreen on my body. I make my way to the ocean. Mike and Mani walk out of the water and up to me.

Mike:" You're going for a swim now"?

"Yeah"

Mani:" we'll keep you company".

We enter the water, it was super cold.

Mani & Mike started splashing me with water.

"Guys cut it out"!

They continued. I splashed water at them back.

A good 30 minutes flew by and Mal was nowhere to be seen. Svetlana and Chester were still playing in the sand, and Mani and Mike were with me. So where the hell is Mal?

As I start over-thinking, I felt two hands on my thighs. Next thing you know I'm being dragged underwater.

"Aaauhgg"

I reach back up for air to see Mal laughing at me.

"What the hell Mal"?!

Mal:" you should have seen your face" (chuckles)

"You're such a jerk"

Mal:" oh, now you notice"?

"Whatever"

I leave the ocean and sit on my chair under my umbrella.

"Ugh, boys".

It's 6 p.m. already and the Sun is about to set. The boys come out of the water and up to me.

Mike:" it's about to get dark, we should go. Maybe grab a bite to eat"?

"Sounds good to me"

Mani:" can you mates pack the car? I gotta talk to y/n. Its private".

Mani's face got serious. I got a bit nervous.

Mike:" alright... come on guys, let's pack the car".

The others followed Mike leaving Mani and I alone.

"Soo, what do you need to talk about"?

Mani:" listen Sheila,"

We start walking along the beach, our feet touching the moist sand from the water.

Mani:" I don't want ya to think I'm bad. I'm sorry if I spooked you that, night. I don't know what came over me".

"I dont think you're... bad"

Mani:" Y/n, I have a confession. Ever since I laid my eyes on you. You're the only thing being played in my mind".

"I-I don't know what to say. I'm flattered though.."

Mani begins to get closer to me. Our faces inches apart. Both of our faces red.

Mani:" I never got the chance to do this".

"Wha-"

A soft pair of lips were against mine. I could taste the saltiness from the ocean. Mani wraps his arms around my torso. I wanted this to last longer but the others would get suspicious.
I gently push him off of me. I clear my throat.

"Let's get back shall we"?

Mani:" yea, I guess yer right.."

And with that, we were on our way back to the group. We end up going to (favorite fast food/restaurant). Then home.

"Some day I had. I can't believe Mani and I kissed while the sun was setting. That must have looked so romantic".
