Chapter 2: From a Prince to A Servant

        No one said a thing, it was as if it was ghost town. Light Snow fell from a gray sky making the mood more somber in the town. Shops were closed, stalls were shut down in honor of the passing of the king. Many Villagers left candles near the window to show and pay there respects to there once good king.

            But no one felt the pain that the young prince was feeling. Standing alone under a tree where they buried his mom. Taehyung stood by himself as the evening time was nearing. Earlier that day they laid his dad to rest, right next to where they buried his mom. His so called stepmother wasn't present at the funeral but taehyung could care less about that she was doing. He held a different flower in each hand, both of which were his parents favorite flowers. For his mom he laid down a Wisteria, and for his dad he laid a flower which he didn't know was dads favorite until just before he passed. It was a red Hollyhock flower. He was already alone in this world and lost the two people who loved him with everything.

       Slowly he started walking away from the tree and was walking up the hill going straight towards the castle. But Something made him turn before he was fully over the hill. What he saw made his eyes widen as once again many forest creatures came from the forests, but that wasn't that caught his attention he saw different colored hats walking the sight of his dad. But his eyes glossed over as he realized they were putting flowers on the graves of his parents. His attention was drawn away though as a servant came calling for taehyung. The call made everything around the grave disperse and it was once again bare with nothing around it. He just kept on walking towards the castle with a smile on his face, knowing he'll get over it soon.

        The evil queen was watching from a window and saw everything happen and promised herself that she would torment the young prince as he was now under her care. She once smirked as she went through with her plan.

Time Jump 7 years - Taehyung is now 17 years old.

The castle that was once a joyful place was now a deserted place as not long after the funeral of the beloved King the Queen was left to rule in his place as Prince taehyung was still to young to rule a kingdom just yet. The queen fired all servants, cooks, maids, people who took care of the outside, all left the castle. The outside lost all color from not being taken care of. The castle was dark in every hallway. But one room was always lit with light and that was the room of the Young Prince himself. It was just him and Stepmom who lived in the now. Even though he sadden by the sudden leaving of everyone he once again threw on a smile. The evil Queen in disguise was always strict with taehyung but she made it known that she hated taehyung with everything in her body as she herself witness on how beautiful the young prince was becoming.

       She was jealous as underneath her false beauty hid an old lady in her 100's. But her magic only hid as much as it can. So to makke for her jealousy she gave the young prince insane jobs to do around the castle.

Taehyung's POV

I sighed for the millionth time today as once i was assigned to clean the main hallways on the main floor which was a really i'm telling you. I've always wondered in my younger years why we needed a long hallway but never put much thought into it. But something broke me from my trance as i notice 2 little blue birds sitting on the windowsill, watching me with their beady little eyes. Then some thing came to my head I started to sing a song

He sang with such a lovely voice that he never noticed how many more birds came a sat on the windowsill to hear him sing. They were such beautiful creatures that I slowly reached out my hands and on landed on ,y fingers.  

"hey little birdie, my name is taehyung. Ill name you Birdie and your little birdie friend over there Jay. Sound Good?"

The bird chirped as if he was excited and my smile grew even bigger. But as if sensing something dangerous the birds all flew and I looked and watched them fly away towards the sunset and i kinda got sad and wished I was with them at the very moment because i am thankul for having a roof over my head and 2 meals a day it wasn't enough for the feeling that something was missing from my life.

"KID!!! go to your room now it night time" 

"yes ma'am", i cleaned what was left and made my way towards the servants quarters which was where my new stepmom relocated my room. I didn't complain because in my last room i felt very lonely because the room was to huge. But this was just the right size it wasn't to big or to small. My Clothes weren't as good as they were before. I was wearing clothes the servants wore when they were here, but once again i didn't complain.

I came to the bed which was made of straw and feathers. It was hard to sleep on but i gotten use to it. My limbs ached from today's work, my fingers were numb, i feet were swollen, and my neck and back were the worse of them all. 

At times I wandered how my life came to this."sweet dreams, mom and dad i miss you being here with me". I finally closed my eyes and let sleep take over.

     While the Kingdom slept away. In the Woods to the North that many People avoided, A little group of Men worked away in a Little Mine gathering the precious Riches the Mine Contained. Humming a tune well known to their People, and When morning was near they retreated back to their House Deep in the woods.
