"Just say you're sorry, Jung-Hwan. Miwa won't get angry."

Jung-hwan's mom tried consoling his son as she arranged her knee-length skirt. With a smile, she ruffled his son's hair as he held the freshly made seaweed soup with his little hands.

"You won't get in trouble..." she whispered. Shivering when the night's wind went pass them. The night was still very young. The sun just decided to hide from the face of the earth a little more than thirty minutes ago but it's already this cold.

Winter's coming...

She thought to herself as she decided to better ring the doorbell now before it gets colder. It'll be a pain in the neck if both of them gets a bad cold or something. Jung-hwan unconsciously curled his toes out of nervousness. Gulping as he witness the door open slowly.

The first thing he saw was his Aunt Miwa peeking through in the small gap of the door as she held the doorknob. When she finally saw her bestfriend, she lit up, beaming. Excitement and obliviousness was present in her eyes.

"Ommo..what're you doing here in this kind of temperature!" She half-yelled. Furrowing her brows, as she scolded her friend. "And you brought Jung-hwan with you with such thin layers!" She welcomed them warmly with her sincerity as she widened the gap of the door to let in the two. "Yah! Are you out of your mind!?"

"Well..Its just that I think someone needs to apologise..right, Jung-hwan?" She faked a cough as she mildly glared at his son.

"Oh, um..I'm sorry." Jung-hwan whispered, looking at the floor. Too guilty to face her Aunt.

Seconds went by before Byul's Mom understood what he had meant. With her mouth formed like an "o", accompanied with a clap, she smiled.

"Oh, you mean the thing about Byul?"

He flinched, sure that he would get yelled at. But, without knowing why, he didn't get any. Instead, he heard her laughing.

"Well, sure I was shocked, but not angry. Look, Jung-hwan-ah you, and Byul are still kids. And, kids fight. So don't worry about it. Why not talk it out with Byul? This way you'll get comfor-

"Yah! Eonnie, I told you it hurts! Don't touch it!"

Her mother didn't even had time to finish her sentence when Byul was half limping away from her sister.

She stop abruptly when she saw that her mom had guests.

Byul shyly bowed at Jung-hwan's mother. A little over a second, she saw Jung-hwan who was trying to hide behind her mother's legs.

"Sandeul-ah!!" She jumped towards Jung-hwan, totally oblivious at her mother's glare.

"Yah! Byul, didn't I tell you to behave? Aish, this child" she massaged her temples, looking away.

"I know, I know...--wait, Sandeul-ah that was mean of you! Why did you leave me like that?!" She teased, playfully pouting at him.

Jung-hwan only nodded, still confused and annoyed at the way Byul kept on calling him. He decided to play it cool in front of everyone. Specially towards his mother. Who he thinks would tell his dad that he was a bad boy --and that would be the last thing that he wanted to happen. He really did miss his dad after all.

"Miwa, I brought you something. Jung-hwan give it to your Aunt and play with the other kids." She mildly ruffled her son's hair, looking at her friend.

Jung-hwan didn't answer and just gave the soup right away. Before he could even protest, his hand was grabbed by Byul.

"Come on, Sandeul, let's go to my room, let's have lottttss of fun!"

Byul didn't even let Jung-hwan think. Masking his irritation with a soft quick nod, He lets his small feet get drag by Byul.

They only stopped when they were in front of a white door with a "Byul's Room" sign hanging lonely in the plane wood.

It was obvious that it was written by a child. Most likely by Byul herself. Jung-hwan starred blankly.  Byul who was still holding his hand noticed his gawking eyes, she followed his gaze and a light bulb turned on as she smiled brightly.

"Yup, I wrote that! Pretty awesome right? I did that all by myself!"

"Hn" he answered lowering his gaze. Finally meeting her eyes properly since they first met days ago.

"Actually, I wrote this years ago. As in a looong time ago" her eyes widened as she explained. "And I thought that I should hang it on my on door when I finally have family!"

"Hn"

Byul's shoulder slightly slumped when she didn't get the reaction that she wanted. She previously wanted to see Sandeul to have those amazed eyes as he shaped his small mouth into an "o".

She opened her door but before she knew it--BAAM! A pillow was thrown right on her face.

"HEOL! I did it again WheeIn-Ah!"

"HAHAHA!! You did it!!"

Hyejin's waved her hair back with her hand as she smirked, "maybe Eomma was right! I was an archer in my past life!"

"Yup! And she told me that I was Princess! A princess!" Whee In jumped up and down. The two laughed loudly, not knowing how  Byul was boiling with irritation. She grabbed the pillow that was thrown at her. And..ran towards her sisters. Forgetting how she was injured.

--WHACK!

--WHACK!

She slapped both of her sisters and smiled proudly, "and Eomma told me that I was a strong warrior!"
