"And here's your room." Effie opens the door to the room with my name on it. It was one of the nicest rooms I've ever seen but it was unfortunately rather girly. "I'll leave you two to get settled." She walks away and Gale pulls me into his room.

"So this is our room." He says chuckling.

"This is our room." I agree smiling and flopping down onto the bed. I'm still in my reaping dress. Gale is still in his reaping clothes too. Gale chuckles and climbs on top of me kissing me softly. I kiss him back and we're soon rolling over onto the other side of the bed. Normally we would stop because there's no way to regulate not getting pregnant and we didn't want to run the risk. I start to unbutton his shirt and he starts on my dress.

"It's dinner time." Effie's shrill voice calls. I groan and pull away from Gale.

"We'll be right out." Gale calls.

"Good I've got to get your district partner up." Effie sniffs.

"Fiancée." Gale corrects as he starts to get dressed. I blush and get dressed. I smooth down my hair and twist it back into a bun. Gale pulls on his shirt and walks over to me pressing a kiss against my neck. "Come on dinner." He whispers.

"It'll be nice to not have to cook." I answer. He chuckles and leads me out to the table holding my hand. I quietly take my seat and Gale sits beside me. I rest my head on his shoulder, a familiar movement I do at every meal, and yawn. Without even thinking about it he looks down at me and smiles bouncing my head up. I laugh and kiss his cheek quickly before straightening up and looking down at my plate.

"So how long have you two been together?" Effie asks as she fills her plate.

"Three years." Gale answers filling his plate as well. I nod and quietly fill my plate. I carefully take all the bread and meat I can. I eat politely just how I was taught to by my mother. Gale also eats politely a trait his mother had taught him.

"At least you two have manners." Effie sniffs. "The last two ate like animals." The last two tributes were starving and probably hadn't seen food like this ever. It rather boils my blood and I make a point to lose the manners and wipe my hands on the table cloth. Gale sees what I'm doing and stifles a laugh. He follows suit and I smile at Effie. Haymitch stumbles into the room.

"Did I miss dinner?" He slurs before vomiting on the floor. Effie makes a noise and leaves the room inching around the puddle. I sigh and help him up before Gale helps me carry him to his room. We dump him in the shower and Gale grabs my hand.

"I've got this." He tells me. I nod and leave secretly glad Gale is taking care of it. I slip into my room and grab a change of clothes before slipping into Gales room again to go to sleep. I slip into the bed and wait for him slowly falling asleep.

I wake up to find a sleeping Gale beside me. I smile and change into my clothes for the day. He groans and sits up.

"Is It morning already?" He asks. I nod smiling and give him a quick kiss.

"I'm going to breakfast." I say. He nods and stands up pulling on a shirt.

"I'm right behind you." He answers. I smile and walk back to the dining room. I slip into my seat and Gale sits across from me. Haymitch is awake and at the table.

"So you two are together?" He asks tiredly.

"Yes." Gale answers icily.

"We've been together for three years." I gently kick Gale in the shin and he sighs.

"She's my fiancée." He says.

"Oh so you're all ready to take the next step?" Haymitch asks. I nod.

"We were going to get married after the next reaping." I answer. Haymitch nods.

"I can market this. What are your tokens?" He asks.

"Mine is my engagement ring." I answer showing him my left hand.

"And mine is this necklace." He pulls it out from under his shirt. It's got the Hawthorne family crest on it. It's got the crest and then the word Hawthorne under it.  Haymitch nods.

"I can work with this. Let's see you throw." He nods at me. I pick up the knife from my placemat and throw it. I'm aiming for between the two slats of wood. It lands between them exactly how I wanted it to. "Good good. I can work with this." He nods. "I've got two hunters in love. Star crossed lovers. I'll stay sober for you two if you follow my directions. Don't use the weapons you're good at during training, stay together during training, you're a team."

"Shouldn't we use the weapons but do badly? We won't be used to them." I answer.

"That's a good point." Haymitch agrees. "Let the instructors help you then. Act like you've never shot or thrown anything. Make them underestimate you."  Gale and I both nod. "And we're reaching the capital. Make them like you."

"Alright." I answer before standing and walking to the window. As we pull in I wave at them smiling. Gale joins me and reaches down to grab my hand. He joins me in waving and I kiss his cheek. The crowd goes crazy for it and he turns his face so he can kiss my lips. The crowd goes even crazier and I smile waving at them again.
