I walked up to the school looking around to see the same emotionless face the people who have everything to lose but nothing to gain I looked around once more then went to stand in my line you see that's what happens here everyone is put into a category in every part of society whether it's education or a career even marriage everything is controlled no one has a say well except the order, the order the only form of leadership we ever had some say it was destined by god for them to be here others argue there god among men me I see them as just regular people, people who want dominance, crave power and seek to rule but of course I wouldn't say that out loud or else I will end up like the others.

"Alexis Camillei" I was snapped out of my thoughts as my name was called I walked out of the the line and headed to the stairs as I lowered my gaze feeling the eyes of the pupils on my back I reached the top of the stairs and waited for the guard to conduct the search, the search happens every morning it's a routine to us we don't expect anything less it consists of a head to toe inspection every single item of clothing had to be up to the standard they accept or we receive punishment and trust me once your punished you never disobey again they make sure of that after the inspection i place my had on the ink and press down on the book this is a way of signing in, for them a hand print is more important than signing my name they say its because once you place your hand down you tell the whole truth me I believe that we can't sign our names because it's the only thing they can't control we choose our own names.

Once I finished signing I walked inside the school and headed straight towards my class no time to waste i took my seat waiting for the other students to come in I closed my eyes took a breathe "Lexi Lexi lex" I opened my eyes and and saw my best friend staring at me with a worried expression on his face that's sage for you all worry "I'm fine just tired feel like going out later" I ask him already knowing the answer he looked up smiling sadly " lex you know we can't" "yh I know the curfew it's just really frustrating" I replied he gave me once last smile and sat down I stared at the clock and watched as time ticked by before I knew it I was heading home with sage by my side I walked up to my house not before saying goodbye to sage.

"Mum,dad anybody home" of course they wouldn't you see my parents work under the order that means long hours but no rewards everyone's income was monitored meaning there was no rich and no poor because everyone had a place we are all placed according to our strengths the intelligent became our doctors, teachers and so on, our strong became officers, soldiers etc, the well reasoning became lawyers, business associates and so on everyone was placed under what they excelled in my mother worked under the order as a criminal lawyer this meant she dealt with all the law breakers or as they like to be called 'the resistance' these were the people that didn't conform to the
rules sometime I think I belong with them but who am I kidding I would never disobey the order, my dad was not to far off from my mum he was an officer while my mum dealt with the punishment my dad looked for them as you can see they are strong believers in the system.

I ran up the stairs and headed straight to my room once I entered I stripped down and entered the shower thanking whoever was upstairs that the day passed by without something occurring I walked out of the shower dried off and took some clothes out of my closet and put them on I laid down on my bed resting my head on my pillows and closing my eyes is this it I thought to my self this is my life.

I was awoken by the sounds of screaming coming outside I grabbed my shoes and headed out the door to see Mrs Rosemead being pulled across the street with her daughter running behind her yelling and crying at the men in black to stop mrs Rosemead was my elderly neighbor she's been on this street way before I was born I turned to the left to see Sage standing their watching the scene "sage" I called his name wondering what was going on he turned to face me "what's happening" I asked curious "she turned 65 today" he replied he looked once more at the scene and walked back inside I shifted my gaze to the floor looked back up the walked straight back inside you see another thing the order control is how long you live for once you turn 65 that's it they see no use for you anymore they say it's a way of making sure we don't over populate god among men I thought once more before heading back upstairs trying to block out the commotion outside.
