Chapter 10. New Beginnings

Klaus's Nightmare

Klaus looks around at Rousseau's in confusion.

"Hello, boy", Mikael says from behind him.

Klaus turns around to see Mikael behind Tatiana, holding a knife to her throat.

Klaus suddenly becomes angry. "Let her go"

Mikael chuckles. "Love is for the weak, Niklaus! And you, are foolish enough to fall for love!"

"Klaus", Tatiana says.

Klaus wakes up from the nightmare to see Tatiana, wearing his shirt, along with her undies, is sitting on the windowsill.

She looks at him. "Klaus? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine", Klaus says, sitting up straight with the bedcovers covering his lower half of his body.

"Klaus", Tatiana says in a worried tone.

"It was just a nightmare", Klaus says.

"About what?", Tatiana asks, getting up from the windowsill.

"About my father", Klaus says, sitting on the bedside, and already wearing his boxer briefs, he puts his pants back on.

"Oh", Tatiana says, worriedly. "How can I help?"

Klaus looks at her as he gets to his feet, fastening his belt. "I don't want you involved"

"There's no "i" in "Team", Tatiana says to him.

Klaus walks to her, wrapping his arms around her waist. He kisses her and she kisses him back.

"You're wearing my shirt", Klaus says to her.

"I can give it back to you", she says to him.

"You can keep it, Tamia", Klaus says to her. "It looks good on you"

Tatiana smiles, nervously as they kiss again. Klaus's phone rings on the nightstand.

"Damnit", Klaus says, making Tatiana chuckle a little. He walks to the nightstand and sees Elijah phone calling him.

Taking his phone in his hand, he answers it. "What is it, Elijah?"

"We have a bit of a problem, Niklaus", Elijah tells his brother on the phone. "Something that requires our attention. I'll meet you Jardin Gris"

"I'll be there", Klaus says and hangs up his phone. He turns around to Tatiana, who has gotten dressed for today. "Something requires my attention"

"Okay", Tatiana says, gently slinging him his shirt. He puts it back on, along with his jacket.

He walks to her and kisses her again. She kisses him back.

"Dinner's on me, love", Klaus says to her.

"Okay", Tatiana says.
