The Sneak

Seven days.
Seven days had passed ever since JK and his band of Diggers had rescued Solar from the woods. Since the last emergency meeting of the Council, Jihyo had been instructed to give Solar therapy sessions to help her recover from the ordeal that she had been put through by her owner.
Every time Jihyo asked her a question that went along the lines of: "Who was your owner?" or "What did he do?" or "Are there more humans out there like you?", Solar would start screaming and had to be restrained.
Every therapy session, a Council member would be a silent witness as to what was happening and report to Seokjin after.
So far, Jihyo had only learned one thing - calling Solar 'pet' would result in her responding in a strange, robotic manner.
And Solar had learned as much as her therapist had - that she was the only human in a pack of hybrids.
Until she learned that Jihyo was a koala hybrid on the seventh day when Jimin addressed Jihyo as a koala in the presence of Solar.
"He would whip me."
As soon as this whisper left Solar, Jihyo whipped her head around.
"What did you say?"
"My master ... he would whip me."
Jihyo's eyes softened a little at the sight of the trembling woman before her. She knelt before Solar and spoke in gentle tones.
"And pray tell me, why would he whip you?"
"'Discipline is a necessary factor in earning a reward.'"
Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. Why did Solar sound as if she was reciting something instead of speaking in normal tones?
"What do you mean by a reward?" Jimin asked. Solar turned to look at him with a blank look.
She blinked, observing him.
"Freedom," she simply said.
Tick-Tock.

Within a month, Jihyo learnt that Solar would respond well to certain 'rewards' like walks around the camp and reveal a lot more information than what she would before. Although this decision received a little backlash from a few members of the Council, most of the members couldn't deny that the results were remarkable compared to the earlier sit-down sessions.
