Ebony

Prologue

   Guilt hit him faster than a speeding bullet train as his mind caught up to what he had done. Their blood was on his hands. Figuratively... and literally. There was nothing he could do now... not after this... for as they say: what's done... is done.

   He hadn't meant for it to go this far, he didn't want to believe they were gone... murdered at his own hand...

   "It's their fault for getting in the way.." The others' voice snagged on his heartstrings, twisting them as its words wove ease into his head. "It was only fair to push them away."

   "Yes.. of course.. fair.. only fair.." his voice was hoarse as his fingers slackened, letting the ice pick fall uselessly from his hand. He took a small step forward and his head reeled as the room spun before him.

   The scent of fresh blood wasn't new to this fifteen-year-old kid... but that fact that it was their blood (along with some of his own) made him sick, this wasn't right! he shouldn't be fine with this. The other made him do it... 

   Please don't blame him for a simple mistake... its not difficult to hurt someone. so its an easy mistake to make... its not his fault...

   "I-It's n-not my f-fault... The others.. Cat... please.. it wasn't my fault... please you guys... wake up... I-Its the other's fault! I didn't-" He broke off with a choked sob, but he didn't fight it... there was no point... no-one would see him.. as he sat there... sobbing.. cradling the body of his little sister.

   Her body was slowly growing cold... the gouges along her frail form were deep... but no-were near as deep as the claw marks tearing through his heart.

                                    This kid's name is Elliot James Corvus.

                                                     It only took him 15 days
