I got off the Scauldron at another island and I waved it goodbye as I gave it pieces of fish when I looked at the sunset when I noticed it. A black blob in the sky and I knew those dragon riders followed me here so I needed to hide before my wings sprout open.

Maybe they're hunting me, maybe they wanna capture me for display, sell me as a slave to kill dragons or humans alike. I ran for the forest and didn't look back, crying hot salty tears trying not to stop as long as I could while rehiding my wings.

I stopped and looked at what was in front of me, a dragon with its rider came through the clearing and stood off the dragon looking at me as I stopped my crying. I wanted to run away, but other riders were behind me, and all around me as I tried to escape.

I could either run and probably fail, I could get captured, or the last one, I could try to fly. I look at my hands and those around me, I never have flown before, I couldn't run, and I didn't want to get captured.

I loosened up and put my hands by my side looking at the ground as I let a tear escape my eyes as the sun reflected off the tear at the one with the Nightfury. He had a look of guilt and looked at the dragon as it looked at its rider.

I fell to my knees and just surrendered myself with my hands in my lap, looking at the Leader with my puffy eyes, still crying. Then the Nightfury looked at me and we locked eyes as I felt a connection was sprouting inside.

It slowly walked over to me with wide eyes and a cute face, but I was still terrified of them so I put my hands back and crawled backward. I stopped at one of the riders and I shielded myself from the dragon, waiting for it to take me away or kill me.

I stretched my hand out a little further when I felt a weight at my hand and I saw the dragon pressed onto my hand. I stood amazed as the atmosphere has risen and I felt like it was a holy moment...     (Like this but with you)(Wait until the big BOOM part of it) I wasn't born without a heart!~

The dragon's rider stared in amazement as everything just felt safe and I let my guard down and let a small smile as I guided my hand along its scale line

The dragon's rider stared in amazement as everything just felt safe and I let my guard down and let a small smile as I guided my hand along its scale line. I kept a calm self but I lept my wings and tail in just in case this was some sort of weird group.

I trailed my hand down the spine of the dragon and saw the dragon's tail was damaged but repaired, but I didn't get angry. I felt grateful it didn't die out there so I rubbed underneath his chin as I did to myself to calm me down and the dragon rested on its side.

Its rider cautioned towards me as I pet him in my lap, the rider took off his mask and I saw a magnificent human before me. His brown hair was bouncing and his forest eyes stared at me as his figure was teen like mine.

"Who are you?", his voice gave me a gleam of hope as I responded calmly, " My name is Y/n, what would yours be?". Some of his friends gave a surprise on how my voice made music by the word, the boy sat with his dragon and responded, "Hiccup"

"A Pleasure, Hiccup... I have a question though, does your dragon usually let them get this close?". He sat by the dragon's saddle while the dragon hummed in my lap, "Toothless doesn't let anyone get near him without a connection of trust but he trusts you, weird"

"I guess... I guess he trusts me like you", he looked up at me and grabbed something out of the satchel. "But he is a real softie" I made a little aww sound and he let his tongue out in submission as the other riders did their own things.
