As Annabeth watched Nico go off to disappear with Will, she smiled to herself. Gods they would make a really cute couple. She used to think that Nico had a crush on her, but she soon realized that Percy was the one he wanted. Sure she was jealous but she knew that Percy loved her.

At the moment, they were headed down to the canoes to spend a romantic night under the stars. She glanced up at Percy and couldn't contain her smile.

"What," he gave her a sexy smile as his sea-green eyes twinkled.

"Nothing. It's just that I can't believe that it's all over now."

"Yeah, life is all back to normal now." He looked genuinely happy.

She hated to burst his bubble but had to admit the truth, "Well, as normal as life can get as a demigod. Gaea will never be fully defeated and there will always be the monste-"

"Shh," Percy put a warm finger to her lips, "don't ruin the moment." He grabbed her around the waist with one arm, he hugged her tightly. She could feel his heart beat faster and the warmth of his touch against her back. With his other hand, he took the back of her head and kissed her like no tomorrow. With his warm lips on hers, she completely forgot about all her worries.

Between breaths, Percy whispered, "Gods, I am in love with you, Annabeth Chase." She could only moan in response. She slipped one hand under the back of his shirt and ripped it off. Now with both hands on his bare skin, she placed her hands on the small of his back. This was his Achilles's heel. She remembered during the Battle of Manhattan when she had taken a knife to protect him without even knowing he would die. She considered how different her life would be if he had died then before they had ever even started dating.

Since the first day Annabeth met Percy, she'd had a little crush on him. Of course, she still liked Luke, the traitor, at the time and that was the worst decision of her life. Regardless she and Percy had already gone to hell and back together after they'd known each other for only a week. She had loved him much longer than she'd led him to believe.

She had never really thought about it before, but in this moment, she thought how her dream of living the rest of her life with Percy, happily ever after, wasn't too far from reality. She thought gods, I would really like to bang him. Of course, she and he both wanted to have children together but they never really discussed the actual process together.

Out of breath, she pulled away from Percy. He opened his eyes, dazed and confused, "What's wrong Wise Girl?"

She shrugged it off but what she really wanted to talk about was their future. She wanted to tell him how she wanted to get married and be with him forever, but she wasn't sure if he was ready. As she opened her mouth, Annabeth was interrupted by her good friend Piper. At the sight of her, Percy quickly pulled his shirt back on.

"Annabeth! Percy! Come quick! Rachel is giving another prophecy!" Piper sounded extremely urgent but Annabeth noticed Percy didn't look surprised. They just followed her to the amphitheater where the whole camp was gathered and Rachel Elizabeth Dare was done in the center.

"I, I see a boy, a boy with a ring," Rachel said in an eerie tone of voice. Annabeth knew that prophecies were meant to be taken seriously but she couldn't help but wonder if this was a repeat-Bilbo. Hundreds of years ago, a greedy son of Hermes stole a magical ring of Hecate. Bottom line, it didn't end too well. Annabeth turned to tell this to Percy but he wasn't by her side anymore. She had no idea where he went but as she turned her attention back to Rachel, she noticed that everyone was staring at her.

Annabeth turned around to see if there was a monster behind her but instead what she saw filled her eyes with tears. Percy was done on one knee, crying himself, with a ring in his hand. In a small voice, he told her "I-I had Tyson make it for me." She let out a nervous giggle.
