Chapter Two: Professor and Student

White Clouds

Claude sat in front of his professor's desk, shaking quite a lot, nervous about the situation.

Byleth just looks at him, observing his movements, " What is wrong? Are you sick Claude? You are usually quite energetic."

"I am sorry teach, it's just, I have... um... a really hard time sleeping because..I want... I want to make you proud that I'm studying!"

Byleth continued to look at the book he was reading, his glasses gleaming with the remaining sunlight shining through the window, "Claude. You are a great student, there is no reason for you to over work yourself."

"I know Teach... " He said, taking gulps of air as he was struggling with his words, " I would like to get to know you better, not only as a student, but as a friend as well."

Byleth placed his book down, eyes narrowing at Claude's.

"By all means, if you like, you can just ask.. " He said and mumbled something at the end which Claude couldn't hear.

"What was that teach?"

"Nothing. To to the Dining hall and have some warm milk to put you to sleep. I want you to go to class tomorrow and I will not take anymore excuses. "

"A-alright...:" Claude said, wanting to hear what Byleth has to say. After all, during this time, Byleth wasn't very expressive.

It was the next day, Claude just sat up from his bed. He was still his younger self. It was strange, that he was able to travel back to the past and be with his professor again.

"Welp, time for class. " He said, yawning and stretching his tired limbs. He crawled out of bed, preparing for class.

"Morning Claude!" Hilda said, standing with her hands together in front of her.

"Morning Hilda." He yawned and sat in his seat.

"Hm," Hilda mumbled, and sat beside Claude, "Why are you tired Claude? I thought it was strange that you didn't show up to class the other day."

"Y-Yeah.. I just had a strange dream and well, here I am." Claude said, as he put his head down.

"Say Hilda, do you believe in miracles...:?"

"It depends. Don't tell me you believe in gods now?"

"I don't know. It's just.. I was lucky to be here. I get another chance."

"What?"

Byleth walked into the classroom, fixing his glasses and placing his worksheets on the table.

"Good morning class. Today, we're are mainly focused on training with your preferred weapon."
