*Time lapse to the last show of Warped*
Last show and everyone was ready to leave, especially me. Ever since what happened between me and Austin things have been really awkward. The band was getting ready to play as was I. Our fans were chanting our names. A small smile grew on my face. We were the last band to be playing and I was going to give a small speech, or at least I wanted to. I started plugging myself into the sound system and began putting my ear piece in when my phone rang. I pulled it out of my pocket slowly and looked at the number on the screen, not recognizing the number I shrugged putting it back in my pocket finishing getting everything ready and jumped around a few times and started stretching when my phone started to ring again. I groaned pulling it out of my pocket ignoring the call and shut my phone off walking over to our manager, “Hey can you hold this for me? I don’t want to lose it on stage.” He nodded grabbing it from my hand, “I’ll stick it on your bus for you Alex.” I smiled at him thanking him and made my way over to my band and we all gave high fives to each other. I missed the last high five and shrugged following the guys on stage as the first song started to play, Acid by ghost town. Damen’s voice started to fill the air around me, “One drop on my tongue I’ll take a little taste for fun, in the kitchen when it starts to kick in.” I took over smiling the entire time hearing Damen join in every once in a while. We went through our set playing another cover by Icon For Hire, Of Mice & Men, Black Veil Brides, and Pierce The Veil finishing off the set with one of our own songs. As we were starting our last song the drums were faltering, I looked back at Ryan seeing that Tino, Mike, CC, and Josh messing with his drum sticks, soon after the bass started to play wrong notes and miss others. The crowd was laughing as I looked over at Oliver and saw that he was being bothered by Aaron, Ashley, and Jaime. I groaned now hearing the guitars falter and looked over at Lex and Jay seeing that Ariel, Phil Jinxx, and Jake were bothering them. I groaned as the crowed continued to laugh, some screaming. I looked side stage and saw Austin, Vic, Alan, Andy, Juliet, and Icon’s drummer running toward me. I squealed as I was lifted off the ground and could feel everyone’s hands holding me up. The last pair of hands that grabbed me wrapped around my waist and raised me above the crowd setting me on the ground. I turned around to see who it was and saw Austin. I smiled slightly and looked up at him, “Hi Austin.” Austin returned the smile but his much bigger, “Hello Alex, I wanted to see if you would like to get some dinner with me tonight after my show?” I thought for a second going through my mental agenda, “Uhm, sure I suppose I can squeeze you in.” Austin’s smile, although it seemed impossible, became even bigger, “Great I’ll meet you at your bus say at 7?” I nodded, smiling, “What should I wear?” “Something nice.” He said and I made my way over to my bus, I couldn’t wait for tonight.
By the time 6:30 hit I was already ready. My hair pin straight and I was wearing a simple turquoise lace dress with a black lace waist and a black ribbon. I had on a pair of plain black creepers, a silver headband, a moon necklace with a matching ring, a skeleton ring, black rose plugs, and a couple of bracelets. I had a black nose ring on and some simple red lips along with a simple Smokey eye. I was ready to leave, the guys all left to go out for the night and I had another half an hour before Austin would be here. I stood in the bathroom looking at myself, for once I was happy with the way I looked. I looked at my black chipped finger nail polish then at the time. I still had a while. I went to my bunk and grabbed my black liqueur polish and sat down at the table repainting my nails. I heard a knock on the door as I finished my last nail and looked at the time on my phone. I still had another twenty minutes until he was here. I peeked out the window and saw Andy and Juliet standing there. I opened the door and looked them, “What are you guys doing here?” Juliet smiled instantly and Andy looked at Juliet and laughed slightly. I just looked at them confused. Andy came up the stairs and stepped past me, “Juliet wants to make sure you look good.” “Okay…” I said still confused and watched Juliet come in. “Oh my god, look at you! Oh girl you look amazing.” I closed the bus door looking at Juliet, “Thanks.” “Turn.” Juliet commands. I do so and turn in a slow circle for her. I can practically hear her smiling, “Oh Alex, Austin is one lucky man.” I smile and blush, “Thanks Juliet but this isn’t a date or anything. I barely know the guy.” I could hear Andy laughing, “Let’s see, he’s taking you out to dinner on a night off, and he even had you dress nice. I’m pretty sure it’s a date, what do you think Juliet?” “Oh it’s a date!” Juliet squealed, “OH! One more thing! Take this,” I watched as she pulled a bracelet off her wrist and handed to me. I grabbed it in my hand and put it on, “Why are you giving this to me Juliet?” “It’s the same bracelet she wore when I took her on a date, she insists that it’s her lucky bracelet,” Andy says standing next to Juliet. “Well it is! I wore it when I met you, I wore it when you asked me out! I even wore it on our first date! I just think it’s lucky for me and I hope it’s lucky for you.” I smiled and hugged Juliet, “Thank you Juliet. I hope it’s lucky for me too.” I picked up my phone and looked at the time, 6:53. I sighed and smiled looking at Andy, “I don’t know Andy, do you think I look good?” Andy laughed, “Alex, you look beautiful. Don’t worry. I’m sure he will think you are stunning.” I set my phone back down on the counter looked at Andy and Juliet together and smiled remembering when Austin and I looked like that. I smiled slightly thinking about all the things that could happen tonight and jumped when I heard a knock on the bus door. I looked at Juliet with wide eyes, Andy opened the door grabbing Juliet’s hand and left with her. I came out of the bus last and closed the door locking it and turned around looking at Austin. His brown eyes were wide and his jaw was slack, after he realized what he was doing he regained himself and smiled at me, “You look absolutely amazing Alex, just gorgeous.” I smiled and looked down blushing, “Thanks.” I looked back up and saw Juliet taking a picture of me and I smiled instantly looking at her. Austin walked over and offered me his arm like we were posing for a prom picture. I giggled resting my hand on his arm and Juliet snapped another picture of us handing me the phone, that’s when I realized, it wasn’t her phone she was using it was mine. I took it holding onto it and watched Andy and Juliet leave. Austin held out his hand towards me and I looked at him confused, “Let me hold your phone.” I handed it to him and watched as he stuck it in his pocket. “I hope you don’t mind walking,” Austin said. “No I’m fine with walking,” I said looking at Austin and smiled. Austin and I started walking and we just stayed quiet for a little bit. I leaned my head against his shoulder and sighed and felt him wrap his arm around my shoulder. I smiled wider, this night was going to be perfect.
